UFC 162 Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman who wins

I cant even guess at this fight. Let me know what you guys think.

twoten01 07-05-2013 09:58 AM

Silva by whatever way he wants, and which ever round he wants. Lets get this fight over with. Then Jones can beat Gustaffson and we can finally get Silva vs Jones. Hopefully in MSG in 2014.

weidman...

i have rooted for like 10 straight silva opponents...lol...not that i dont like anderson...i just wanna see upsets...i root against GSP/Bones too...some ppl think dominant champs are great...but id rather see upsets atleast once in a while...what is remembered more? serra beating GSP....or ANY OF GSP's 10 straight wins....the serra upset is...say weidman gets him down and ends up arm-barring him and taps out the great silva...that would be awesome to watch...

Brandunn 07-05-2013 10:30 AM

Silva KO in the 3rd.

Yaga 07-05-2013 10:58 AM

Weidman by submission!

Should be a good fight either way I think. Looking forward to see Frankie Edgar back as well.

DKfxr 07-05-2013 11:05 AM

If I was a betting man, I would take Weidman.

YakuzaShoeii 07-05-2013 02:28 PM

I never really pick winners, as I only like to see competitive/technical matches, however, Chris Weidman is just not in the same league as Anderson. The UFC's hype machine has done an excellent job fooling the public into thinking he belongs in there.

This.

Anderson..2nd Round

gamer4l1fe 07-05-2013 09:00 PM

It's very easy to say Silva will probably win because he's just that good, but man does Weidman have the toolset to beat him if he can get the fight to the ground. Bet on this fact if Weidman gets him down and rides him with ground and pound ala the first Sonnen fight he won't be getting triangle by a weak triangle like Sopnnen which happens to be the way Sonnen has lost by submission like 6 or 7 times in his career. I'll play devils advocate and say Weidman by submission in the third rear naked choke.

sjim8660 07-05-2013 11:12 PM

Silva will do it just because he has the fight experience and weidman really has not fought anyone of the caliber that Silva is. Silva can do everything great, so weidman will most likely get taken out. Silva is good at boring his opponent and when they don't expect it he takes them out.

SBelcher 07-05-2013 11:26 PM

I'm shocked Silva isn't a heavier favorite.
Silva - KO - 1st Round

gamer4l1fe 07-06-2013 06:14 AM

The fact he's not a heavy favorite should enlighten people to the fact that someone realizes Weidman is a threat and not simply as much of a walkover as most Silva opponents!

imbaked247 07-06-2013 08:42 AM

If Chris can wrestle half as good as Chael did in the 1st Silva fight then I think he has a chance of pulling off the upset. Still thinking about putting a couple bucks on the fight for fun.

mickdapug 07-06-2013 08:47 AM

I think silvas experience will guide him to a 3rd rd tko...i think this is one of andersons most dangerous fights as he doesnt fight as well off of his back and chris can certainly put him there...im thinking chris eventually makes a mistake and anderson pounces....but not without sustaining some damage in his toughest title defense yet.

it's foolish to pick against Silva. he's made guys from 185 to 205 look silly. yes, at some point he'll get old and his age will catch up to him, but until then, outside of one fight from Sonnen, nobody has come close. I think Silva wins in 3 rounds or less, because that's what he does.
