Week 17: Packers @ Vikings! Playoffs on the line!
Vikings win, they are in!
Simple as that, big game for the Vikings! Hopefully they can pull out another W and ride a 4 game winning streak into the playoffs! They control their own destiny! |
I'm going to be at ford field hoping for my Lions to help you out by beating the Bears

That'd be huge too! I wouldn't mind some help if we need it! Going to be pulling for the Lions no doubt! |
I think the only way the Vikes win is if they sit Rodgers in preparation for the postseason. Don't see that happening though.
The Packers will be playing for the #2 seed, but good luck.
lego vikings!!!!!!!
go packers!
Number 2 for Green Bay. Contain AP and they will win... simple as that.
Got to give AP credit... everyone knows what they are going to do and they still do it. |
Games in Minnesota, should be a great one. I think Green Bay wins 34-26.
Green Bay wins but AP runs for 200 plus
Vikings with another dominating win, Peterson falls short with 175, Ponder 250 with TDs to Rudolph and Wright, Rodgers 300 1/2, Vikings win 27-14
The outcome will depend a lot of how Ponder plays. If he doesn't make any bonehead plays, the Vikings have a good shot to win. Last game it was his 2 INT's that cost them. Hopefully it'll be a good game. Both teams should come to play!
Vikings look like one of the best teams right now. Home game and I can't see us losing.
Game also got switched from 12 CT to 3:15 CT, which means us Vikes fans will know whether the Bears have won or lost before kickoff of our big game!

One of the best? I wouldn't go that far. Vikings are winning games, but one of the best? With Ponder and that WR corp, you aren't getting out of the first round if you get in at all. AP can only take you so far. He is great, but there is zero threat of Ponder beating anyone. |

Kyle Rudolph and Christian Ponder will be able to make the passing game work enough...

Ryan Lindley beat Detroit, does that make him a good QB? Ponder is way too inconsistent to have success in the Playoffs. |
I wonder if AP will get the 207 rushing yards he needs to break Dickerson's record? I think he will fall about 30 yards short.
2 seed for GB. Minnesota misses playoffs. AP doesnt break dickerson's record (which is shitty. I wanted him to get it, which burns me to say as a packer fan, but AP is a badass). 10,000 lakes of tears.
Also something to factor in, if the Vikings win, they will play again in the first round of the playoffs...
My list for this game, in order of importance:
1) Peterson breaks record 2) Peterson breaks 2000 3) Ponder has a great game 4) Vikings make playoffs Another 1 and done in the playoffs makes no difference to me. I want Peterson to get to the record. 207 is possible, 102 better damn well be a guarantee. I will literally freak if he comes up short of 2000. |
Vikings almost won it in Lambeau this year until Ponder choked it away. The Vikings have essentially already played 3 playoff games and they have more to play for at home. Vikings are 6-1 at home. Both are enjoying winning streaks that date back to their previous meeting. Regardless, this is going to be a great game!

its going to be rocking in the dome.
