Is Demarcus Cousins moving into the top tier of big men?

I think an argument can definitely be made in a league lacking true centers. Not unanimous by any means, and he has his flaws like any other big man, but he's making a case for it. Bad first game is throwing his season stats off, if he keeps this up he'll be an all-star for sure.

We shall see how everything progresses throughout the season. He's a good kid who busted his butt in the offseason, and it's starting to show. I'd like to see his FG% up a bit, although it seems like he's playing with more maturity on the court which is something I am happy to see(have met him multiple times and he's always been nice as can be).

He has the potential to be a beast in middle!
I agree once he gets to control his emotions of sometimes frustrations!
He will definitely be a superstar!!!
A respected veteran should be signed by Sacramento to help him mold into a superstar!

Cousins has all the attributes to become one of the elite bigs in the league.
He can bang inside and he has the size and the body type to be a durable big men inside.
Could be a 20-10 in the league.

I think he hits 20/10 averages this year.

Greg Monroe had a Triple Double against him yesterday. Monroe is just as good but less explosive and more fundamental.

That is completely false, other than less expensive. Monroe is a nice player, but a step below Cousins.

Explosive is a word I've never heard used to describe Cousins. Pretty disappointed in my guy Brandon Knight this year, was expecting big things from him. Any idea whats causing him to struggle so much? 35% from the field is awful.

Cousins and Monroe had near identical numbers last year. Cousins is definitely quicker but Monroe has a much better post game.

Knight is struggling mostly because he is forcing things and not taking many open shots. Many at the end of the shot clock.

18/11 > 15/10

I still think Knight will end up being a good player. He works too hard not to, surprising he is forcing stuff since he was always a very heady player in college and never seemed to take a bad shot.

Howard/Bynum(healthy) barely better than Cousins/Gasol/Jefferson barely in front of Monroe/Gortat ... Who else is involved in the conversation? IMO already top 3... at worst top 5
