11/3 - Pack War Tournament! Big Prize!
Welcome to Blowout's Pack War Tournament.
Just exactly like a jousting tournament except you won't get dirty! ...and there are no lances or horses or anything. What is a pack war? Well, a pack war is a vicious battle between two or more pack wielding combatants! You open your packs to reveal your cards and the person with the highest card number is victorious! (Or lowest card # or ERA or age... whatever you decide beforehand). Traditionally the winner keeps both packs. In an online pack war tournament, the host opens the packs for you and there are generally 8, 16, 32, or 64 participants. The winner may take all or each participant may keep his packs and the winner gets an additional prize - like a box or card. We understand that pack wars are not for everyone (like the squeamish or people who cannot stand to lose gracefully or from Switzerland...) - so please feel free not to join. Pack Wars Tournaments: Free Pack War - by purchasing a pack of cards. Everyone gets a free spot in the pack wars tournament by purchasing a pack of cards (depending on the tournament, it may be Bowman, Chrome, or Draft or whatever). Ok, this is how this works: Every participant starts with a random position (1-16) - there are two brackets of 16 in the second tournament and you may have a spot in each if you like. Every participant starts with 1 pack of cards. In the 1st tournament winner takes all. In the 2nd tournament, no matter what happens, I will be shipping your pack(s) of 2013 Bowman Chrome to you. You "battle" one other participant each round (1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, etc). The battles are decided by high card # or low card #. Round 1 is high card, round 2 is low card, round 3 is high card... You get a fresh unopened pack to use in each round. The last card in each pack determines your number. Single elimination. Once you lose, you are out of that bracket. If you win, you go to the next round and receive a free bonus pack for each new round. Free shipping and supplies.
