Default 2010 Bowman 4 Case Player Draft Break

pskell02@yahoo.com
Goods
Put your board name in the notes field so I know who the payment is from.

Live draft will be on Wed at 7 PM EST to finish up any picks that may need to be made. We will then do 1 jumbo case and 1 hobby case after the picks are all made. Then on Thursday at 6:30 PM EST we will finish up the last 2 cases. Same deal as with the BDP breaks.

Once we fill this up, I will re-review the pricing and make sure it is in line with how it should be. I don't want to be overcharging people on this one. Shipping costs are my biggest concern right now.

Here we go guys, the big boy for the year

We will be doing 4 total cases of 2010 Bowman: 2 Hobby and 2 Jumbo.

Pricing:
1 slot - $42
2-5 slots - $41
6-9 slots - $40
10+ slots - $39

There are a total of 207 slots in the break. They are as follows:

BCP Prospects (includes all chrome, refractors, Blues, Oranges, Reds, and white boarders base cards)
BCPxb Prospect Autos
Rookie Autos
USA Chrome
USA Under 18 Chrome
Base Rookies (1 slot for all 4 Cases - Receives all Golds, Blues, Oranges, Reds, and Plates as well)
Vet Base (4 slots:1 per case - Receives all Golds, Blues, Oranges, Reds, and Plates as well)
Bowman Expectations (All 4 cases)
Top 100 Prospects (All 4 cases)
1992 Throwbacks (All 4 cases)
Futures Game Relic (All 4 cases)

To move things along, I will be instituting a 2 hour pick limit between the hours of 12 (noon) EST and 10 PM EST. If you do not have a list in to me and/or have not made your selection in that 2 hour window, the next best available will be given to you based on the pre-ranked player list.

*FYI - When I do the randomization, I will hit the button 5 times. That order will determine how we draft. Randomization will not be done live but will be recorded with my screen capturing program. You will see ever step as I randomize and make the post with a voice over as I do it. In the past I haven't done the randomization live and/or recorded it as no one has requested it and I think everyone trusts me at this point But it was requested here, so I will do it.

Thanks Robert! Should be a lot of fun...and really long

If anyone has any suggestions on improving the format/slots, please let me know and I can adjust accordingly. I like the way the RCs and vets are set up so they still have value. Each slot across the board has potential unlike some of the other products out there.

Also, if the checklist looks like it is missing anything, let me know so I can add it. Pretty much 100% positive that I got them all.

Is there an order in which you're breaking, Pat? Might make a difference for the vet slots.

Ahh, thanks for reminding me on that. I wanted to chance the Case numbers to Hobby 1/2 and Jumbo 1/2. Thanks.

Going to keep that as 1 slot for all 4 cases. I believe they are 1 per case, only problem is, most sell for less than $5. And there is always the chance that we are shorted. So I don't want to make that/those slots worthless.

Those with the USA slots would get killed if we just did Jumbo.

How does the draft order work? Randomize? The time window you're suggesting from 12 noon to 10 pm is not 2 hours so I must be misreading it. Could you explain the draft a little better. Thanks,

Andrew

When the thing fills, I randomize everything and post that order in the first post.

As for the time thing, the draft runs "live" from noon to 10 pm. Each pick has 2 hours to make their pick before there is an autopick for that slot.

I have one request since it's not on the front page. Can you randomize this list say a fixed number of times over 5 to avoid any serious clumping? I wouldn't complain if I got the first 8 picks but the bottom 8 is another story. I know even if you randomize 100 times it may happen but this is the most expensive player draft in the history of Blowout. I hope this request is not out of line here. Thanks,Tai

Just so it's clear the prospect auto slots get all parallels too, correct?

Tai, I normally do it 3 times, but would not be opposed to doing it 2 more times.

I like the 2 hour draft window. We always seem to do ok with it as long as people that know they aren't going to be around send me lists. Anything less I think would be unfair to someone who is at work and gets drawn away with say 7 picks before them and as soon as they walk away all 7 are made. They come back an hour later and have been autopicked for. That or various other things happening to keep them away.

So long as it is autographed, then yes. The Tate (a) slot would get all of the Tate autos. The Tate Chrome slot would get all non-autographed Chromes.

I haven't paid attention to how stuff is randomized in recent breaks. So you use random.org but just run the names/slots a few times, not just once? I can see that, not sure if it really makes a difference or not but you should probably decide on a number of randomizations and put it with the break info just so people aren't really disappointed watching the randomizations being done.

I'll take 2 slots please.

mightbe - Added that bit of info into the OP. As I said, with most of my previous breaks I have not done the randomization live. I will however use my screen capturing sofware to create a video of me doing the randomization and posting the results. My mic on the laptop ties sound into the video, so I will be talking through the random.
