Default CAVS, KNICKS, HAWKS- who gets the 8th seed?

-NO COMMENTS SAYING WHO CARES THEY WILL GET SWEPT ANYWAYS!

which of these three teams will make it?

Hawks
Knicks(tied but Hawks own tiebreaker)
Cavs(2 games back)

Cavs- won 5 of 6 and have irving back. Finally playing like the team we thought they were.

Knicks- won 12 of 17

Hawks- well they cant win anything, they don't deserve to make the playoffs.

Cavs and Hawks have easy schedules, while the knicks have all playoff teams the rest of the way.

Cavs and Hawks are playing Friday! (THIS IS DO OR DIE FOR THE CAVS)

My money is on cavs since my pistons already out of the race. But the knicks has the zen master so who knows.

Upcoming schedule for Cavs:
Hawks
bobcats (home)
pistons (home)
bucks
Boston (home)
Nets (home)

All are winnable games.

Knicks upcoming schedule:
Washington (home)
Heat (AWAY!)
Ratpros (Away)
Bulls (home)
Nets (away)
Raptors (home)

Knicks have a lot harder schedule.

Cavs Baby!!! Cavs-Heat round 1 match up. Cavs take it to game 7 and Kyrie hits a buzzer beater 3 to win!! Then LeBron comes back to the promised land!!

I like that prediction, how sweet would that be for the Cavs. And then Lebron goes back to cleveland so Kyrie & lebron team up next year.

A man can dream, can't he? Haha. Honestly, I think the Knicks get in, Lebron won't come to cleveland, and kyrie goes to the Knicks as a free agent in 2 years.

well, no way its going to be hawks montej

That team is done, I think about 80% knicks, and 20% cavs. Looks like Knicks and cavs split their season series and unfortunately the knicks are 3 games better in the east conference division records. So pretty much Cavs are 3 games behind the knicks if you look at the tiebreakers. And I dont really know if the knicks are going to lose 3 more times.

I say almost impossible because I think the Cavs have to win every single game they got left.

You think they have to win em all or what you think?

Upcoming schedule for Cavs:
Hawks W
bobcats (home)W
pistons (home)W
bucksW
Boston (home)W
Nets (home)W

All are winnable games.

Knicks upcoming schedule:
Washington (home)W
Heat (AWAY!)L
Ratpros (Away)L
Bulls (home)W
Nets (away)L
Raptors (home)W

If that happened right there, we can make it, but pretty much feel like cavs have to win em all.

Friday night Cavs/Hawks will decide it IMO. If the Cavs lose, it's over for them.

Love me some Melo so I hope they being the Knicks get in and take Miami to Game 7....that will be enough to get Melo to stay so we can see what Phil Jackson can do.

Man if they could clear some Cap Room and build around Melo, Chandler and the young guns....

Wouldnt mind seeing Kyrie in the playoffs though.

Knicks vs. Remaining opponents: 4/9
Cle vs Remaining opponents: 5/11

Atl: is going to wind up with 35 wins, if they go 3-5 their last 8, only beating DET, BOS, MIL

Knicks must go 3/3 against 6 playoff teams to wind up with 36 (And its still not a guarantee to make playoffs)

Cleveland has to go 5-1 and 11 of their last 12 to reach 36 Ws, doubt thats going to happen.

So I'll stick with my unfortunate prediction of Atlanta making the playoffs.

The way the knicks are playing they can beat anyone

I just am ready for a letdown any game now where they stop playing basketball

Thing that will be interesting is if the playoff teams the knicks play rest their guys down the stretch...
Altho everyteam has something to play for still may rest their guys

Id love to see the knicks get in but it looks unlikely...

I will be rooting for the knicks hoping some nice mojo happens and they make it to the playoffs, they have the hardest of the 3 schedules

Cavs could realistically go 5-1 and the Knicks could easily lose all 7.

I see the Cavs making it. I'm hoping Cavs or Knicks. Atlanta is just awful and that would be a terrible first round.

It amazes me how some people feel that Phil Jackson actually does much with this Knicks team right now. As if he is going to change their mindset and how they play.

Look how they have improved with his presence since his hiring. He doesn't need to be an active part of the team, just talking giving small pointers to the players is enough.

So you're one of them. Phil Jacksons presence will not make the Knicks a better team. With the current roster, they just haven't put in the effort needed to win. They have so much talent and just assumed they would be a good team but they're not. It's simple.
