Quick question...on hobby boxes do you get regular base cards as well? I bought a hobby box and every pack I opened had either silver, bronze, or gold ones and no regular base cards. Is this the norm with hobby boxes? I've opened 1 blaster and those packs had regular base...so didn't know if that was the difference between blaster vs. hobby.

That's crazy!
How many of each type were in each pack?

I bought some blasters where the bronzes were replaced by golds so ended up with 10 golds per blasters.

no, most hobby boxes have base cards as well...so your hobby box had like 8 cards per pack and all 8 cards were parallels...thats crazy cool

Tonight...I gotta scan all the hits.

All in all I had 14 hits in 16 blasters. I'm happy!

haha...I'm not posting it box by box, I'm just posting in one big shot. I'll scan the hits together in one or two pics.

1 hobby box produced these: (must have been a hot box...does anyone know if hot boxes exist with Topps Olympic Boxes?)

Again got no regular base cards...all cards were either bronze, silver, or gold parallels or inserts with the normal 3 hits (2 mem & 1 auto)

138 silver
24 bronze
8 gold
6 OLY
3 OH (XI, XX, XXII)
1 SOV-2
1 OC-2

Ricky Berens Flag Patch
Abby Wambach Athlete Worn Memorabilia
Nathan Adrian Auto

If you got 138 silvers that might be one of the best single box breaks I have seen. You should have a silver set which I don't have after over 10 hobby boxes.

I didn't know if that was the norm with hobby boxes (vs blaster). Pretty freaking cool if I got a hot box and I didn't even know it!

that is cool...like wolfer said, i've done 32+ blasters, 1 hobby on my own, and gotten the silver paralels from 2 boxes in a group break and still don't have a full silver set

Well sorted everything out...only 1 missing card for the complete silver set, #52. Anyone have it or know who it is?

okay found who it was via ebay...can't believe the silver set (complete) is only bringing $20. Seems kind of low for a parallel set.

The cheaper autos are creeping up in price. Top tier autos are trending down slightly or holding steady.

Question: what are you folks doing with your Paralympics cards? I assumed that those games were running simultaneously to the Olympics, but I found out that they don't start until August 29th.

Harsh reality is that virtually noone watches the Paralympics nor is there very much TV coverage. I'm selling at same time as the Olympics

He didn't sell it (I wouldn't either) and re-listed the Phelps at a higher BIN/BO!

I think so...seems to be the cheapest way to ship...

Team bags sandwiched between 2 pieces of cardboard in a bubble mailer
