I think the real penalty trick will be for those players drafted in rd 4 and later since they suffer a 2 rd upward penalty...(i.e. 3 4th Rd players, you suffer, 2nd rd for 1st guy, 3rd rd for 2nd guy, and 4th rd for 3rd guy)... anyone confused yet? LOL

I don't think so... its what we agreed to prior to this conversation anyways. I.e. lose an equivalent rd for each rd kept in the 1-3 rds.

I would vote for these:

IF you keep two firsts and a second then you loose your 1(first rounder), 2(first rounder), 3(First rounder) 4, 5 (4 and 5 from keeping the 2nd rounder)

IF you keep three firsts then 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 even though the chances of this happening is highly unlikely

IF you keep two firsts and a 3rd then it has the same consequences as keeping two firsts and a second...1 (first round player),2,3 (third round player) 4 (as a result of the additional first rounder you loose the 2 and 4th)

I wish more league managers would weigh in on this.

Can we get this in writing on the league keeper rules page then so we have it set in stone? Seems like this is the general preferred choice...any objections by any managers? if not then throw that in the keeper rules.

i have posteed on the league page

i have sent messages

with no responses they clearly dont care and we are going to decide on this from the small amount of votes we have

and yes im going to put it on the espn site.. so it is set in stone

i now have 2 1st round picks (prob not keeping both) but so we have it in stone

So, since he traded his first round from next year, does that mean if he keeps a 1st round pick from this year he loses his 2nd and 3rd? Just confused how the keeper rules are affected with the trading of next year's picks

No,

he has 2 first round picks now... he picks in his slot and the guy he traded for... right now he has no1 to keep as a first round pick so he drafts twice

he gets 2 firsts and then 2nd and 3rd before keeping players...

he does not take a penalty at all

In a ppr league you want calvin and bernard for rice pierce and michael Floyd. Are you simple man?

good luck to you man. You try to play the injury card but its a dynasty league and what have any of those guys you offered done?

Would anybody accept that offer or am I "nuts"?

Im not arguing the bernard part (the calvin vs rice)

first off its half ppr... second off calvin vs rice isnt a big deal in a dynasty league

when someone posts they need a top rb and i basically offered at first calvin for rice its not like a terrible offer...

a banged up calvin for ray rice isnt very bad at all... especially with the scarcity of rbs

I agree that parts not over the top crazy. But I get told im nuts for not accepting I dont agree with that. If we redrafted would anyone take rice over calvin? Just curious
Plus two scrub backups for bernard who is a ppr stud who is a definite keeper for where he was drafted

This trade makes no sense. You cant trade a first round pick if you intend on keeping a player in the first round... That pick wont be available for you to trade....If he is intending on giving away his first round pick then keeping foster or his other first round selection would not be an option.

i might have explained it wrong...

he basically traded away arian foster to get a first round pick...

one guy will potentially keep foster and trich (i believe) and lose hi 1st,2nd,3rd

while

the other guy will have 2 first round draft picks next year

I thought we agreed on these rules? Keeping two firsts results in a loss of the next two subsequent picks. Doesnt that mean First rounder one (lost as a first round) First rounder two (lost as that spot+2)...shouldnt that be 1-4 then? If not then thats just saying the second first rounder counts as a second rounder and you only loose one extra round

And I get what you are saying about the one who is getting the 1st round draft pick but he is getting it from a guy who has 2 first round players..if he keeps one of those players then he never had a 1st round pick to give up. This means that the one who received foster cannot hold onto any players since he gave up his first round selection and cannot use it on foster or his other first round player he drafted. Thats why it wont make sense unless he really isnt intending on keeping foster or T-rich if that is who he selected for himself.

Now i understand...

So that would be right what ur saying

if he does this trade he cannot keep either trich or foster as of now...
