Talking MonkeyMcGee's Sketch Collection

Thought I'd post my sketch cards in my collection. I went a little crazy on Marvel Premier (as you'll see in the coming days), so I may sell a few of the ones I'm not so crazy about once I get a look at them in person.

Anyway, thought you might enjoy these and if nothing else you can use it to help with artist identification

The one that started it all

Ted Dastick, Jr - Chewbacca from Star Wars Galactic Files

Frankie B. Washington - Red Skull from Marvel Premier

Just got a big group in, so I'll have more scanned in later today!

LOL--well, I tell you, Marvel Premier got me big time. It's nice to buy something that has some intrinsic value as art rather than a prospect auto or a piece of event-worn crap

Andre Toma's sketches have gotten progressively better over the last couple years. I grabbed an Emma Frost of his from one of the last Rittenhouse releases and was very pleased with the quality versus some of his earlier sketches.

I didn't think Captain Marvel wore a mask, though? He was one of the possibilities I was looking at.

I think it's the guy on the left in this picture from Marvel's site, but they don't identify him:

Good call, man. I am not very familiar with some of these guys. Apparently this is Khn'nr, the fifth Captain Marvel in the Marvel universe (not to be confused with the DC Captain Marvel), who is a Kree sleeper agent.

Yes, it is--I think outside of the top characters, the Ghost Riders have been consistently very well-done. Plus you've got a skeleton, motorcycle, and fire so it has to be cool

There are some really interesting subjects and combos of characters on this UD Marvel stuff. I would never expect to see Rocket Raccoon or Absorbing Man/Enchantress/Kang etc. I pulled a trifold Bukshot with Silver Surfer, Nova, Adam Warlock and Capt. Marvel on one side...Nova and Quasar on the other side, nice stuff.
