Default I have an Ebay stalker that you might want to block

Have a card BIN OBO. jb_cards made an offer, I declined without message or counter. About 20 minutes later I got an angry message asking me to justify the price, stating I'll never sell the card, etc. I responded with a slightly snarky response which elicited another unhinged message. I'm not a doctor, yet I am comfortable stating this guy is not of sound mind. Do with this what you will.

You know I'm curious, there is an item on eBay I want for my collection. Despite it being a 1/1 it's realistically about triple what it would sell for on its best day. Never asked the guy to justify his price because, well it's his card he can charge whatever. But does stuff like this happen often?

This is the first crazy I have had on eBay. But others have posted some of their own stories on these threads. Some people in this hobby lack tact and social graces. I am dealing with one right now and he is fu**ing nuts.

Just for some context....

jb_cards:

Someone is selling this exact card with better pictures for $20 and free shipping on eBay right now.... and nobody wants it. How can you justify your current price? You'll never sell this card.

Response:

First off, I don't have to justify my price. This same card sold for $27 2 days ago. If offered around that, I would likely accept (not from you though because you're obviously a pain in the ass).

New message from: jb_cards

You live in a fantasy world where you are awesome and everyone else sucks. I wouldn't offer you $27 if the card came with a free massage. Continue thinking you know everything and have fun sitting around with your card FOREVER because nobody will ever buy it from you.

Response:

Do your parents know you're bothering people on the internet? Why don't you take a deep breath, step away from the computer, and go take your meds. It's clear that you are unhinged.

New message from: jb_cards
I'm probably older than you, moron.

I send you a perfectly normal request to reduce the price of your card with some advice on your way too high asking price, and you go off being a total douche. Don't blame me that nobody loves you or your horrible, crappy cards. Go pick out a card in your collections, pour some tea into a cup, and pretend you have a friend to talk with for once in your life.

Response:

Just to give you a replay of how this transpired, you made an offer and I rejected (without a responding message). You then fired off the first of what I am sure is going to be several (unwanted) emails. Seriously, go take your medications and stop bothering me.

New message from: jb_cards
The unwanted email was just a tip that you have no idea how to sell things on eBay but in a polite way. Next time, feel free to not respond even though I was probably the first human contact you've had in twenty years.

Response:

You need many years of therapy. Because I am a caring person, I have added a link to this message that has a list of psychiatrists in your state. Godspeed you crazy bastard.

Hey, look on the bright side - at least you finally were able to talk to someone after all these years!

I run into dealers all the time on eBay or at shows, I ask a proce (don't get me started on how much I hate cards not being priced). If we're close and I think we might hit a deal great, if not man there's been times I want to laugh but you try and act like an adult and politely say something like "well thank you for showing it to me". Never had the urge to go off on someone though. That'd be funny.

Both come off as annoying if you ask me.

Why even get into a back and forth with someone on eBay? Total waste of time for both of you.

Spot on! This looks like eBay road rage from both.

Disagree. If you would have ignored them I wouldn't have had the pleasure of reading the back and forth.

The dialogue has so much potential. I laughed out loud reading through it.

Would the massage include a happy ending? That is worth more than $27.

Sounds like you wanted to argue back and forth. Next time just ignore them and move on. You come off looking worse than the buyer.

Agreed, should've ended the back and forth much earlier.
