Why was this thread locked?

I do not like causing trouble but why hasn't this guy been banned or even suspended? Why was the thread locked? The guy is saying sexually inappropriate comments and just being an overall jackwagon. I bite my tongue most of the time but this is ridiculous.

Scammers and perverts running rampant and nothing is being done????

I just do not understand why that member has not been banned for making those remarks. If my under aged son or daughter were being harassed like that I would make a huge stink.

It is shocking to me that this idiot is still allowed to be here.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate to a certain degree here. Even though Scackles showed how much of a tool he is with some of his comments, the truly inappropriate stuff was sent via pm and posted here by another member. If he had posted those things in open threads, I'm guessing the mods would have at least suspended him by now.

Well it's one thing if you're sending these kind of posts via PM to a friend, but it seems these two were not close/familiar with each other. Saying that to a complete stranger is just downright wrong and warrants a suspension at the very least.

That would be like me randomly messaging you saying how much you turn me on... Trust me, I think you'd be kind of creeped out.

I do not see a difference posting it in a PM or in a thread. It's still a very inappropriate comment.

That is fine and all but it is inappropriate. What happens if the receiver is a minor? I am not a lawyer but I would assume that BO can be held accountable due it being a PRIVATE site?

I don't know about the private message part being a reason you can go out of bounds. Again, I understand it if you're just BSing with a friend, but these two seemed like they didn't really know each other. If I were to randomly choose a member who I didn't know and PM them calling them a bunch of curse words, I would think that that warrants a suspension.

I'm sure big brother just wanted to shut it down before it kept spiraling out of control. This thread will be locked too.

It's not okay for someone to be rude and make idiotic comments to someone via PM, but it is okay for people to gang up and say even worse things about that person out in the open?

2 wrongs don't make a right.

On a side note, I really don't care either way, I'm just taking a different perspective.

and I on the other hand got suspended for a week for putting the name of a guy who scammed me in my signature. Tarjetasbeisbol fr anyone hats interested. Think Ill get another week for this? or more?

EDIT-iam very sorry to hear bout your mom. I have a breast cancer ribbon tattooed on my arm as I have lost 5 family members from different forms including my grandmother who I was very close with to breast cancer

again-I was in no way defending the comments made by scackles......I was simply pointing out that they would have never been made public if not for another member (babyfaceposey) posting them in an open thread.

But I do hope you would agree, that even in PM, that language is VERY inappropriate. Assuming (i know...) bfp did report those PM's, he should have been on vacation for that alone, even in private.

I never reported the PM's. No reason to. Was more annoyed with the way he was acting. Threads locked, most members were able to see the way he acted, end of story for me. How about those Giants!!!

The point of the thread was to inform others on a member who obviously does not know how to conduct himself properly. It did its job. Nothing good was going to come from it by leaving it open for him to come in and start a whole big thing.
