Would be great story if he actually made it back to the NBA and could help a team.

It would be pretty cool if him and vince were on same team after their iconic playoff duel in 2001

The Mavericks really love these OLD players huh? This year it seems to be specifically PGs ... what the heck?! Get some GOOD young talent and build. Stop picking up late 30's, injury prone, undersized, ball hog PGs!

People dont realize that these were his averages not too long ago.

2008 26pts,7ast,3reb
2009 18pts,6ast,3reb
2010 14pts,4ast,3reb

People who dont believe that he can be a solid nba BACKUP PG or something like a jamal crawford/nick young scoring sixth man are crazy. He was here in Charlotte a week ago and he looks good. Hes in shape.

I can't believe AI wants to be a starter this bad. He is ok to be a starter in d-league, but not ok to be a bench player in a NBA team.

the problem is not that he is good enough to be a solid backup the problem is if he can accept that role.

Iverson declines offer

Allen Iverson turns down Texas Legends' D-League offer - ESPN Dallas

He is one of my favorite players...I grew up watching him play. On the court he was awesome...off the court he was a big a$$hole. He has nobody but himself to blame for not playing in the NBA right now.

He could have been much better then he was if he took the game seriously off the court. He had so much wasted talent. I knew he would turn down the offer, he doesn't want to end his career in the D-league. He is actually missing out on big money overseas by trying to get back in the NBA. Next year will be his last shot to get invited to camp.

If he gets in shape I dont see why he cant start in NBA. The guy is a legend, and one of the greatest.

Nothing to do with being in shape...nobody wants to coach him.

I think him might be black balled from the NBA. Who knows.

Interesting video I found on youtube with Kyrie Irving.

What? That is some bs. Allen Iverson is 37 now, he probably learned alot from his mistakes. ALot of coaches would love to have him, he is the best thing that came after MJ. POund for pound greatest baller in history period.

It has nothing to do with his age nor his size. He just doesn't want to play as a backup. His heart was so big that he could carry a whole team by himself. Now, his attitude is so big that he thinks he is still a #1 scoring option.

He can definitely start for one of the teams in the NBA. I bet a franchise will pick him up, I mean its just good business. People will love to buy his jerseys and watch the answer play one last time. Just like MJs last return to the wizards.

If Nash can still play at 39, Iverson can still play at 37. Iverson was aton more athletic, and genetically gifted. All he has to do is try hard.

Once you took a year or two off, it is very hard to get back. AI is not MJ.

Where have you been the last few years...if what you say is true then why isn't he playing? What reason do you have for him not being in the league right now? He can still play...he has burnt every bridge. He is a cancer in the locker room. Google his situation in Memphis.

If AI was a 6 foot 6 freak, he would be better than MJ. If the average persons height in the world was 6 foot 6, we would see alot more talented players. But only 1% of the population is 6 foot 6, so that is why MJ only had to compete against that 1 %. Its a mental battle for AI more than a physical one. And YES NBA is not a fair game. It favors the tall...
