Default The Official "Complain About Your Annoying Co-Worker" Thread

I'll kick things off...

There is this one guy in my office who is just an absolute slob.

He belches at the top of his lungs at least 15 times a day as all he drinks all day long is soda.

He sneezes all over the place and as loud as he can without covering his face.

He says the same annoying things every damn day. He does his lame impressions and movie quotes when the opportunity arises and they are ALWAYS the same.

He does his job as quickly as he can and puts in as little effort as possible to get the job done.

He listens to the SAME DAMN radio station every single day. EVERY DAY and it is within my hearing distance. I am sick of classic rock. SICK OF IT.

/vent

Let's hear your stories...

I have a co worker who came back from mat leave about 1 yr and 3 months ago. As of this week she has taken a total of 73 sick days since she has been back.

Its annoying that she can get away with it while the rest of us respect the lax system. We dont abuse it. Her abuse is going to make it tougher on all of us sooner or later when they come down with stricter policies.

One of my colleagues hasn't worked a 5 day work week in months it seems. Many of these days, he's "speaking" for a drug company but calls them business days that "shouldn't count against his PTO days because he's getting our name out there".

God Bless that situation. While I have nothing but love and respect for woman, it has been proven that they should not work together in large groups.

I work with an old fool, who fails to complete his tasks on a daily basis. He is a jerk and a burden to us all in my department. He shakes, whispers, and I think he is an alcoholic. My boss sticks up for him. Its like he is his retarded little pet.

He has been a temporary there for 5 years, doing an entry level job. My boss takes all the mandatory safety and job performance type computer tests for him. Why? Well I guess its because he is to #@#@#@#@ing stupid to take them himself.

When there is downtime in his particular job, he hides instead of helping others. He is completely worthless in every way possible.

Tonight he was #@#@#@#@#@#@#@ deep in work at quiting time as usual. I left him there to rot. That old crusty #@#@#@#@stick can go straight to hell.

I'm probably that guy someone would complain about. I bust balls way too much and always finding ways to prank co-workers. If someone leaves their desk and doesn't lock their computer, done deal.

I work with a guy who's wife left him 2 years ago. Since then he...

Farts all day long, loud (and we have women in the office), has gained 80 pounds in those two years, stinks because he doesn't shower half the time, eats like a horse and is a complete idiot.

We dont have any of those types of people here at work.

If you didnt shower and you smell, Id send you home. If you came back and looked like you didnt shower or stunk, id terminate you on the 2nd time.

I also bark at people that dont wash their hands after finishing their business in the washroom. Every time I do, they say "whats it to you?". I tell them that they will touch that door handle and so will everyone else that comes in there and they will get your disease!

a little hard to explain the fool I work with, older guy, set in HIS ways, makes a TON of mistakes, yet will tell me about everyone else's mistakes. we actually have to work faster to get to items before he does to lessen the mistakes and corrections for down the line. He also comes in at 6:30am for an 8am shift, works straight through, takes 30 min for lunch, and stays until after 5 most of the time (carpools w/his wife, but I offer to drive him home at least once a week - says he doesn't have keys to the house - WTF!) He actually doesn't leave enough work for the rest of us at times because of this, since our load goes down as the week goes on.

I'll just leave it at this for my night job, the Night auditor during the week is the only person I never see or talk to that gets my blood pressure rising higher than anyone or anything else I have ever dealt with.

There is a foot-stomper that sits near enough to me that I can feel it.

That sounds like a Seinfeld episode. Like the low talker.

You should start making a follow-up sound everytime you hear it. Let out a little yell or say "yep".
