I'd do the same wait and see if you can double your money or better on it if not i'd bust it. Theres a chance you can get some cheap autos and lose money.

great deal, i could never get myself to pay $650+ like they've been asking lately (we have one hobby shop here that still had over a case of series 1 left last month, i believe at $650 a box) but for $300 i would buy it too (honestly, i think thats probably the most i'd pay now that the redemptions are expired though.. probably would've paid up to about 4 or 500 last year) but that's just me.. im sure lots of people would still double your money

Round 2 is where the value will be. Jones 1/1( arguably the most vaulable MMA card, this card will sell for at least $5k if not closer to $10k) and I have never seen a rd 2 Jones ruby on ebay since it came out, nor have I heard of 1 being pulled, those will sell for over a grand a piece.

Round 2 has a lot of value too a lot of RC autos in it, i like the variations of Jones auto too. I wonder how the recent trouble will hurt (if any)

MMA doesn't have the huge crop of 'rookies' yearly that the other sports have so the value lies in the early sets with the first autos like Round 1 and series 2. you can pick up autos of the champs like GSP, Silva, and Jones relatively cheap in the newer stuff. i'd bust the Round 1 stuff and sell because I really believe MMA has peaked for now. the UFC puts out so many shows and it's still trying to get mainstream pub, though the last show on Fox tanked horribly.

That's because every FOX card so far has sucked, it seems like a curse, they will have some great PPV's and then a Fox card and it is horrible. The fox fights so far, are not going to bring in any new fans. I have seen every event since 33, and the Fox ones are the most boring ones in recent memory.

Also there are rookie autos every set, also some of the up and comers that are breaking out now, like Travis Browne(rc-2010 KO), Rory Macdonald(rc-series 4), Renan Barao(rc-MOT) cards are going up quite a bit, when series 4 came out and no one cared about Rory I was picking up his silver base(#/188) for $2-4, now they are selling for $40+.

But round 1 and 2 cards will be worth the most in the long run, because the best past, and current fighters rc's and rookie autos are in this set.

seems like after 6 years of this thread being started....the box prices have dipped a little to the $400-$500 range but the original poster paying $300 still did well.

For real if I could find a box at 4 or 450 now I'd probably take a swing at it so 300 was a great bargain even 6 years later.
