Okay Guys....

Im gonna post on here and then send a message so everyone definitely see's it...

Also subscribe to the thread so you are always updated.


We have 11 in... That means if one person doesnt like the final format or everything they can drop out

Payment will go as follows:

1st year: Everyone pays 35 dollars
250 will be paid out the first year and the other 100 will be kept aside

2nd Year: Everyone pays 25 dollars
250 will be paid out the first year and the other 100 will be kept aside

3rd Year: Everyone pays 15 dollars
250 will be paid out which will include the original 10 extra paid the first year


I will hold the extra 100 as insurance for the following reasons...

If someone drops out...Someone can adopt that team for only 15 dollars...


I think this is the best way to do it so we get this league going for atleast 3 years and hopefully many more...


As for keeper rules... i think it is easiest for it to just be you keep 3 players each year regardless or where picked..

So at the end of the season you will choose any 3 players to keep...

Then the following years snake draft will be determined by the previous years finish


Since this is a 12 team league i think it should go as follows

RB
RB
WR
WR
WR
RB/WR
TE
K
DFST

That's 11 teams, not 12. I say we stay with 10 or HOLD and move to 12 with no current team eligible to buy a 2nd team (team stacking with multiple picks and internal trading to that one member). Example: would I spend another $15 to increase my odds of winning a large payout, yes I would.

I say keep 5, with some sort of penalty institued for keeping players. That's what makes decisions in keeper leagues important.

Don't care what platform, just need some time to make sure I do my homework and understand all the quirks with whatever platform is selected.

STANDARD! No PPR weaksauce!

I agree with everything here. Though, are we going to have a bench on the roster? And about sending in league fees, I wouldn't send mine in as pp gift, so wouldn't that hurt the final final payouts?

I agree with most of this, but here are my exceptions:

1. I vote for ppr, but instead of 1 point per catch, make it .5 points a catch (I did this in 1 of my leagues last year and it worked well).
2. I STRONGLY support an ESPN league. Best layout, functions, graphics, etc.

Okay so when thinking about it...

Im gonna do it like this...

Not everyone is gonna be in complete agreement and therefore i will decide and what everyone will like...

If their is a huge problem then that person can drop out and then we will have a 10 person league... if someone else becomes interested then it can become a 12 person league

I dont think that is a main issue right now (i know we currently have 11)

It will be an ESPN League

I will send the invites out upon receiving payment (will be goods payment an extra dollar or so so i can send it back out as goods as well)

As for Keeper Rules:

only issue is not sure if espn can take away the draft pick... if this becomes an issue then say i want to keep demarco murray as a 3rd rounder then every1 will just have to pass on him and allow the person to take demarco murray as a 3rd rounder...

You know what i like the other keeper rule suggested... is everyone okay with this:

Draft Penalty: 2 rounds up from were drafted per year... First and second round picks cannot be kept

for example:

A round 10 pick can be kept for round 8 the second year and 6 the third

a round 3 pick can be kept for round 1 and cannot be kept the third year...

I can agree with almost everything else except these...this is what makes a keeper league special is the fact you can keep ANY player you drafted (including those in the 1st and 2nd rd). That's why I suggested the top 3 rds suffer the same penalty each year. You keep your 1st rd pick, you lose your 1st rd pick (theoretically you would pick the same guy anyways if you had lost him, but you are gambling that no one else picks him up). Example, if you picked AP in 2012 in the 1st rd, you are likely not going to give him up this year. I sure the hell wouldn't. The same can go for quite a few players (Megatron, Aaron Rodgers, etc.)

Bottomline: You can keep any player, but you suffer a penalty in the draft in some fashion.

Also, as the commissioner don't you have some method of assigning players to teams before the draft even starts? Like setting rosters or something. There has to be a way to assign the keeper players to their rightful owners.

I agree with this. Since its keeper than the first few rounds are also strategy. If we cant keep them than it somewhat defeats the purpose. Would be nice to keep anyone you draft (up to three) regardless of round but i'm in for whatever majority wants.

+1, I agree with this as well. Top three rounds should jut keep the same round penalty.

As for the draft, I prefer early mornings or late night drafts. Busy with my autistic son's therapy most days during the afternoon/early evening.

If all rules are decided on, I will pay Friday Morning (Payday)...

I don't think it's an "OR" but rather an "AND"... BOTH are in effect. You can keep a max of 3 players but you suffer penalties for keeping those players dependent upon what round they were taken in the following year's draft.

(P.S. sorry for being a stickler, but I manage contracts all day, so words are extremely key. )

I personally think we should wait on a few weeks of NFL preseason, but I'm game with whatever the majority decides on when to draft. I'm also in Mountain time, so everyone else may also want to post what time zone they are in.
