I don't blame anyone for the content, I am just blown away by the collation of all my cases. Some had 8-9 hits some had 1. I will tell you this, the first 5 cases I bought were much better then the last 5. I don't know if BO changed distributors but all my recent cases have sucked. I am done for a while. If you look at recent breaks on these forms, they are bad so I can only assume a different source. 5 cases of mars comming next week so maybe I have a new addiction.

We should all stop buying this product, I know I have. I refuse to buy anymore till blowout lowers them to $149.99 again.

I'll squeek out maybe breaking even on what I bought, mostly due to the Paul G. nice sketch. I was able to trade locally the crappy auto's to a collector, but I know I won't spend another dime on these till prices are really low.

Has anyone been buying the Crystal Skull boxes. Does anyone know how many cases they put out of that product?

Taking advantage of who? By doing what? They bought those cases for a certain price and they need to sell them for a certain price. They are a business.

It's no secret that Indiana Jones Heritage is one of the worst Topps products in terms of collation and quality of sketches. That puts the burden on the buyer to weigh the cost to risk ratio.

The cases were cheap enough for people to buy lots of them and some found Kate Capshaw autos, and nice sketches, and at least one (perhaps 2) people found Stephen Spielberg autos...

I'm asking you to clarify why you think Blowout is taking advantage of you. They sell an item. You buy it. They don't FORCE you to buy it. You don't have to buy it. You have the entire internet to find what the item might and might not contain and if you feel uncomfortable you can walk away.

It's obviously a good price because you buy it. It's also a gamble but so are ANY trading cards. If you find Spielberg, 'thanks Blowout you're the best'. If you find crap 'Blowout are crooks!'

You are so cool, you rolled your eyes. Just read the forum, there are a few other people who are going to stop buying until they lower their prices.

Taking advantage of some hype is good business. I do the same thing and raise the prices on my cards to maximize my profits. I am saying I am done with the current prices and will let supply and demand take effect.

I think the point Jack was trying to make was that Blowout is obviously sitting on a crap ton of these. We buy about a dozen cases from them. Each time 4-6 cases were purchased, they raised their prices. No doubt to reflect what they had left in stock. Point is, the same cases are not worth anymore than the $189.99. I'd be hard pressed to say they were worth THAT much, but I felt like taking a gamble. So, let's fast forward 4-6 mo's when no one here buys these cases, and Blowout once again lowers them to the $149-189 range.

4,000 Hobby cases x 8 Boxes per case = 32,000 boxes

26 major hits in the entire run

Its something like 1 major hit in every 150-160 cases

Autograph Cards

-Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones 8
-George Lucas - Executive Producer 8
-Steven Spielberg - Director 8

Cut Signature Cards

-Denholm Elliot as Dr. Marcus Brody 1: 775,296 packs
-Pat Roach as Giant Sherpa 1: 775,296 packs

How many cases have been opened up recently on here?

Anyone know how many of each of the big hits have already been pulled?

If i had some extra coin right now, id be buying up these cases. Its only a matter of time before someone pulls another biggie. And when someone does pull one (and it will most likely happen), the rest of us are gonna be kicking ourselves for not buying just one more case.

In my original post I was not blaming blow out or accusing them of anything I was just amazed at how my first five or so cases had a hit per box and my last five or six cases have had two or three boxes with no hits. Having been in the game since 1985 or so I am very aware you don't make money on every case and you are lucky to break even but that said when you open a case and six or seven boxes are duds that's tough. Again blow out has been very good to me and I would never accuse them of anything as I know they have a stellar reputation. And as far as the price hike I would do the same thing because I am sure the product is drying up and their cost is higher.
