Default CPMC shipping

I thought they had flat $3 shipping, now it's a flat $9.99. Quite a jump. Any idea when it went up?

I'm pretty sure the flat rate is $3.99. If you are in re-seller mode, it's that initial cost plus .25 per card (more for thick or graded cards). If you are not in re-seller mode the cheapest rate should be the $3.99, with higher options to get it faster.

EDIT: Just tested what I have. For 21 cards, two of which are graded, it would be $10.74 for me to ship.

19 x .25 = 4.75
2 x 1.00 = 2.00
3.99 flat fee
Total - 10.74

I am not in reseller mode. It is a 300 card shipment. The $3.99 was never offered.

I just emailed them to ask why the $3.99 wasn't offered. It takes a while for them to get them packed up, hopefully they will honor the $3.99 rate. If not, I guess I'm out $6.00. I'll probably live.

Priority mail is $9.99. Did you select that?

Maybe it automatically goes to Priority when it's over a certain amount of cards?

300 is more than I've ever taken in one shipment, so I'm not sure, but I'd expect there is a limit to what they will ship for $3.99

But, that was the point of the "flat rate" shipping service - it shouldn't make a difference how many cards you have in your order - it was just supposed to be one price. It even says so in their little chart on the "shipping page".

And, it was how they were able to justify the "per card" fee - hiding the fee in the card price allowed them to promote the flat rate policy.

If they're making arbitrary changes on their side they should be notifying the customer before they process the shipment, and not surprising the customer with an inflated rate, after the fact...

I did a 200-card shipment as recently as March, and the base was 3.99 (plus 2.50 for 10 cards I had bought under "Advanced reselling"). Sounds like anybody with a 300+ shipment should split it in two...

I don't disagree at all. Having never shipped more than 50 at a time, I wasn't sure if this was the way it always had been. Apparently not!

COMC got back to me today. They took care of the issue and put $6.00 back in my account. Good job by them.

Thank you COMC.
