Default Rob's 90s Jordan inserts rolling thread

Hey guys. I've been reading this basketball forum for years so finally decided to register. I mainly collect MJ inserts, nothing too crazy i'm mostly in it for the nostalgia. Collected as a kid in the mid 90s and caught the hobby bug again in 2010. Thought i would use this thread to show off the collection.

1995-96 upper deck electric court gold

1998 skybox soul of the game

1997 spx holoview heroes

1994-95 skybox emotion n-tense

1996-97 flair showcase row 0

1997-98 fleer traditions tiffany

Electric court golds.......such underrated cards. 1:36 packs.....huge base set each with an electric court parallel. But only ONE gold a box!

Agreed, took a while to land this card it's one of my favourites. Always loved the image mixed with the minimal design.

some of the very best looking 90s inserts around. The Ntense and row 0 might be the two very nicest looking MJ's ever made.

GREAT pickups! Nice to see some creativity with Jordan pickups around here. Seems like the same cards get posted way too often just because they're accepted as the best Jordan cards. That EC Gold is amazing and the Fleer Tiffany is HIGHLY underrated. Those cards look beautiful in hand with that blue holofoil. Not easy pulls either. Odds were 1:20 packs and with a 345 card checklist, pulling any particular player was no easy feat.

Completely agree. Way more limited than people realize. I haven't looked in a while but i think that's under a $100, which is borderline insane in the current market.

People will catch on to the Tiffany parallels eventually. Look at the prices on Griffey Jr.'s Bowman Tiffany RC, they're astronomical and there were 6,000 of them produced. Not sure how we would determine a print run on these 1997-98 Fleer Tiffany parallels but I'd imagine it's 10,000 or less.

Pretty different construct though, right?

Topps Tiffany baseball was basically a (relatively) limited boxed glossy set - which happen to be the rarest rookies for some very popular HOFers. Fleer Tradition Tiffany Basketball is a rare parallel, but not really significant for any individual player.

Still, I agree, rarer than people realize and especially undervalued considered what other late 90s parallels are going for. And I still love the holofoil.

Yeah, you've got a point about the distribution. The 89 Bowman Tiffany was exclusively sold in a boxed set limited to 6,000, while these were pack pulls and only 1 real key RC from this year (Duncan).

It's like I'm looking at my own hand picked list of Jordans I've been wanting to pick up for awhile now. Specifically the NTense, row 0, tiffany, and EC gold. Well done, and great taste!

Yep a VERY underrated card

Just picked up an EC Gold MJ a few months back

At 180 cards in Series One x 1:36 odds (1 per box) the odds of hitting a Jordan EC (#23 base) is 1:6480 packs or 1 per 180 boxes

Thats pretty high odds for a card that sells in the $200 range raw when they actually do come up for sale

Great MJS OP

It was 1:20 packs in Hobby only. Plus you have two series so the MJ can be found only in series 1.. so its a 1:3940 pack insert Hobby only... A lot lower price point than the Thrill Seekers at 1:2880 series 2 packs hobby or retail.

It would take approx. 9 cases of hobby to complete one series one set. I would imagine 1500-2000 of each Tiffany would be more likely.

The Electric Court Golds are so tricky. I've opened a ton of 1995-96 UD series 1 and I'm not sure if many know, but they released special "hot packs" in the retail product that contained nothing but Predictors and 4-5 Electric Court Golds. Only found a couple of them but I assume they're rare. Pretty sure Collector's Choice had hot packs in retail that same year.

Anyways, beautiful cards. Love them all especially the Tiffany and EC gold. Brilliant!

Collectors choice did have hot packs. I got one when the product was released. It was an insane feeling. I still remember that my 3 platinums were all TERRIBLE. Haha.

Wow! So I'm likely under-selling the scarcity of them. Even better for the OP.

Thanks for posting. Those are some great looking cards. And for someone who is getting into collecting 90's cards for the first time it is always great to be exposed to new cards. I am a big fan of the Soul of the Game and Showcase Row 0's. The Electric Court Gold is a new discovery for me and I will have to keep my eyes out for the regular and Gold version now. I am looking forward to seeing more of what you have.

Love these cards, had some when I was kid. Traded some, lost others, definitely makes me want to get a few now. Have to hurry before the prices keep going up and up ha ha!
