Is everyone buying Elite? I don't think anyone is buying it at all... not at $180 a box.

They look nice though... this stuff is going to be a total bomb and will be under $100 a box in no time. There's no low #'d cards to chase, no jerseys, patches, etc. I don't see know how they can try and sell this at $180 box... that's a total joke.

saw a case opened. best card - durant auto redemption that sells for $100. not another card over $30 in the case.

at $180 a box? i wouldnt pay that for a case of this junk

By decent I take it you you mean worse than NT, Preferred, Prizm, Select, Gold Standard....Immaculate?, Flawless?....?

Yes, I agree it's on the bottom of the list. I'm not really a fan of Preferred. No matter what you get from Panini is decent and overpriced.

I measure success of a product by how many breaks are posted in the BO forum on release day. FAIL!

I opened 2 cases. There is no way in hell this stuff stays at $180/box. It'll drop to $100 real fast. I heard Panini is desperately trying to get distributors and retail outlets to buy the stuff, but no one is biting.

It has some real problems for a price point of $180/box:
- lack of serial numbers on the RC auto's, no low #'d parallels of those cards?
- lack of low serial numbers chase cards. best ones are the status (#'d to jersey #) cards. But that's it for low #'d chase cards!
- no patches at all. None.

Some of the cards do look nice. But this product is just diluting the already over produced NBA card market.

This product belongs at $100/box, and should be an early season release, or not produced at all.

I was in a group break last night with K2sportdcards he pulled a Kyrie Irving, 2 Kawhi's, Anthony Davis,, Gary Payton, Blake Griffin, and Grant Hill out of 15 boxes.

Hard to call it a sticker dump when all the rookie acetate autos are on card, and so are the court kings. Compared to many Panini products all year, this one seems to have more on card autos that a lot of the others do.

You said it all! I have seen about 20 "boxes" opened and there wasn't a single one I would have been happy with at $180. Don't remember all the cards, but there was a box that had a resale value of $11, TOTAL!

Like others have said, this a $100 box, honestly maybe not even that much. Even if you hit a Kyrie/Kobe/Durant/Davis auto - it doesn't cover the box price. That makes zero sense, can't understand how ANYONE would buy it...

just doesn't make sense that a case costs the same as 2 NTs

what Panini could have done

- $150 a box
- Auto'ed glass cards
- have a GU set?
- Gold parallel? something like Fleer Brilliance back in 98/99, numbered to 10

This has the worst return I have ever seen from a product over $150. At least the box is stylish so it looks good on shelves. I wouldn't pay $65 for it.

Released this to early next to NT and the product is terrible. Looks like Blowout has a prime candidate for a case giveaway promo.
