I believe 07-08 UD Series 1 hobby is the best value in terms of collecting rookies. Big hits include nice patches, multi-swatch memorbilia, and the best chance to hit a Patrick Kane, Carey Price, or other great rookies. If you wait for series 2 for February, the 500 Club Goal Inserts, autographs, and memorbilia will be included as well as Quad Jersey Cards numbered to 100, updated player cards with new teams (hopefully) and the second best rookie Toews. The only problem with UD base product is you may only hit two common jerseys. At least my only box hobby box yielded an autograph, A Patrick Kane YG RC and finally a Carey Price YG Rookie in the last pack. Two levels of parallels are in each series. O-Pee-Chee boxes contain no memorbilia cards on average, a buyback card (must get lucky to land a quality rookie), and rookies 1:2 with over 100 rookies in the set. If you want big hits and higher valued cards, go with either UD Series 1 or UD Series 2, and if you want inserts and many rookies, choose OPC. Two autos (One buyback auto) and three quad memorbilia per 12 boxes.
