The best you could do is ask for a picture...i believe that card is serial numbered which makes it easier for you to identify it... Look at the pic then if it is damaged have it returned to you then send a refund...

The envelope probably went through the sorter and damaged the card. Ask them to return it for a full refund, its the only way you avoid a negative and if you don't, eBay will just force you to refund them anyways. Next time you ship a card, put some packing peanuts/ball up a small piece of paper to make the envelope over 3/4 inch thick. If the envelope is too thin they put it through the sorter and this frequently damages thicker cards.

Sorry you had this happen.

From looking at the buyer's feedback, this definitely looks like someone who forgot to take his meds (leaves feedback for seller saying AWESOME CARD and then leaves a negative). Must be a real screwball.

Unfortunately, the best thing you can do is to follow ebay procedures. Ask the buyer to send you back the card and when he does you will issue a refund. It's then up to him to return it to you with DC so that he can prove it was returned. Until he does that, ebay won't make you refund.

If the card is really messed up (by either him or the post office) you'll be out the card and the $12. Nothing you can do. But if you get lucky and this is a scam where he wanted to keep the card and get his money back, you'll never hear from him again and you'll get to keep the money.

Good luck!

You openly questioned her integrity...I'm just gonna say this...If she is FOS, and you just questioned it, you are getting negative feedback now no matter what, simply by questioning the buyer with "If you are playing with me..."

Sorry dude...

You're asking for trouble with a response like that.

It doesn't matter if you believe her or not. She gets a refund either way. Atleast if you just would have been polite instead of accusatory you may have saved yourself a neg.

The best way to handle it would have been to have her return for a full refund then put her on your block list.

Yes maam, sorry about the inconvenience, etc....is the only way to save face in these situations unless you just don't care about your feedback.

Absolutely agree with this. Personally, i sandwich as much base cards as possible in a team bag/graded bag as possible. My packages usually end up just under 3 oz. A great way to get rid of a bunch of base cards while protecting the item that you are shipping.
