Great article
Kobe only got 1 mvp ( and got 3 extra rings ) because of Shaq !
I mean , come on , Shaq should be in front of Kobe in terms of greatest ever.....
He was soooo dominant 2000-02. Probably even more then Jordan ever was ( arguably )
If you substitute kobe with : young Penny, T mac , D wade or Young Vince carter, those Lakers would still win 3 titles those years

Kobe s a great player
I m not Shaq fans ( i actually despised him back then )
Who would pick Kobe over Shaq , with both in their primes ?

For all his acclompishments , I think Shaq " underachieved"
He didnt take care of himself, just busy making movies , singing and having fun
Forget Kobe and Lebron
If anyone had a chance to pass Jordan, it was Shaq
Be objective,.... Dont you agree?

You can't put a guy ahead of such amazing players like Jordan or Kobe or LeBron who couldn't make a shot further than two feet from the basket. Plus Shaq played when he was basically the only real center in the league. When I was in high school there were talks of Eric Dampier being a top 5 center LOL.

????? shaq played against some of the best centers the game has seen. eric dampier may have been a top 5 defender on shaq due to his size, thats about it.

???? In Shaq's prime? By then guys like David Robinson, Patrick Ewing and Hakeem Olajuwon were are the end of their careers. Mourning had health issues as well and Yao Ming had foot issues. After Shaq was drafted the game changed and the big men had changed with guys like Chris Webber, Kevin Garnett, Antonio McDyess, Jermaine O'Neal, Rasheed Wallace, Tim Duncan and Elton Brand were all forwards. The centers that were drafted weren't very good like Camby, Olowokandi and Tyson Chandler. Shaq was basically the only center when he played in his prime.

i was responding to this " Plus Shaq played when he was basically the only real center in the league." i didnt know you were specifically talking about his prime years during the lakers titles. i agree, the offensive minded centers had diminished around that point.
