Hello Haiku.

You said we could just talk about our life, so here goes nothing.

About 3 years ago, I had a bad car accident.






I shattered my right hip socket among other things. After exhausting my short term disability at my job, they terminated my employment. I had been there for 7 years. We lost everything.

After a lengthy recovery, I was able to go back to work a year ago this month. Throughout this year, I dug in, and I am now in management. I make in one week, what I used to make in a month at my old job.

I have been very fortunate. I should have died in that car wreck, but for whatever reason, I'm still here. I won't come right out and say what caused the wreck, because it brings tears. I will only say that depression is real, and should not go untreated.

I look at life differently now. Everyday I wake up alive, is a good day. I look forward to watching my kids grow up, and being able to provide everything they will need in life. I'm proud of my accomplishments.

Went to bed around 4am after finishing up all the work I needed to do and had to get back up at 8am for an early conference.Now about to eat lunch and can't decide if I want an organic Tofu bowl or Multi grain quinoa salad.

I arrived at work at 0330 this morning.
I got depressed as I saw more hair fall out of my head as a result of arriving at aforementioned job at aforementioned 0330.
I logged on to blowout.
I went home to walk my best friend and feed him.
I came back to work.

Rinse and repeat tomorrow.

Thanks for the giveaway. Generous people keep the world moving when everything else tries to make it slow down and go to hell.

Today, I took my oldest to Pre-school, realized we forgot his helmet for h day so ran home and brought it back just in time! Youngest and I went to Target. We got to watch a cute birdie for a couple minutes. Came home and had lunch together. Picked up the oldest and just waiting for my dad to visit before his trip to Germany. We are hoping to do an art project today. Fish, rice and broccoli for dinner.

I know, I lead a thrilling life!

Lemur, very glad you are ok and at a better place in your life now. I know what it is like to have a near death experience. You are never the same.

I honestly can say I purchased a elderly couple in there 70s this morning breakfast. I had told the waitress that I wanted to pay the couples bill. The waitress got me both bills and I paid for them. Walked over to the couple told them what I had done. The lady replied with they were appreciative of my actions. I am feeling great today!

yeah I hear that they are sore for a little until you get used to it. I'm pretty sure I'm a mouth breather when I sleep anyways, so hopefully it shouldn't effect me too much there. I guess cutting the amount down or even the loudness would be great.

My wife says I snore a lot, I don't believe her cause I've never heard it!

Haiku...thank you so much for your generosity in this community.

Figured I would just tell you about my life. My life is hectic right now. My wife is in school and they just cut her student loans so we are having to pay for them. That wouldn't be a problem if she was working full time but she isn't because of school and because she is pregnant. We are expecting our first child in April. I am beyond excited and nervous to see what the future holds. I know no matter what happens we will be fine.

My roommates are pissing me off. I live with two girls, and I feel that I am always the one who ends up buying stuff for the apartment when we need it, or taking out the garbage/recycling when it's full. Then they give attitude when I ask them nicely to do things. smh.
