CARDS
While I agree its fun to redem cards from Topps million card redemption -I have redemed over 700-I traded a case of football cards for them-if you think about it none of my redemptions are valued over $400 (1952 high number). If you look at the years of the cards also, out of 700 I redemed over 5 days 121 were Topps 1987. Thats 1 out of every 7 cards I redemed was a 1987, at one point I got 5 in a row!!! Here are a few things to think about:
1. You do not know the condition of the card you won-remember most were rebuy's from the internet. 2. The only way to get the 52 mantle is by winning the complete 52 set-they are not giving away any single 52 mantles. 3. The value of the redemption cards went from $1 to over $3 a card on Ebay-you realize you can buy 60 redemption cards for $210 or spend that money on a graded card from the 50/60's that will increase in value more then your 55 common redemptions, 2 check lists and 3 1954 commons. I know, if you hit the Clemente Rookie then its worth it....Good Luck and Have fun Last edited by killerturtle; 02-19-2010 at 10:38 PM. |

i am noticing a trend, i have had twelve redemption's
2 from a $20 blaster box=1952 Northey / Cubs and a 1968 common The other 10 i got from retail packs at wal mart, the oldest card i won was a 79 and i got like 5 87's looking at these things people get good cards from the blasters, maybe topps is trying to boost sales? I also hope topps releases the sales for this series compared to others |

I've read the same thing, so I didn't figure this was accurate, yet as far as I know, there hasn't been ANY announcement as to how these will be given away. I would assume they would give some away as single redemptions and some (or one) as part of a complete set. I just don't think anyone should assume anything. You never know with these card companies anymore.
