Any tech guys...buying a laptop for my wife's birthday
She is going to be finishing her college degree to become a teacher. I've always had apple MacBooks, but was looking at some other brands. I was hoping someone could give me some insight with so many different models and price points. She is going to mostly use it for school, internet, and streaming some music. Main thing I'd like is for it to run smoothly and be dependable.
Any recommendations? Any decent laptops in the $400-$600 range or is it worth to just spend more? Any computer much faster than others? Thanks for any insight! |

Id personally go with a chromebook. They're awesome. They start up in literally a couple seconds, extremely fast.

I've had my current laptop for approximately 4 years. I use it for all the listed reasons plus more (i.e., I work remotely for a biotech company). I paid about $200 for it, brand-new.
What I'm getting at is you can find many models available for under your price point. I'm not super knowledgeable about computer hardware so can't direct you to specific models but I'd recommend checking reviews on Amazon or newegg. |
