Talking Two Notable Minor League Promotions

Wilmington's Jake Odorizzi has been promoted to Double-A (NW Arkansas).

South Bend's David Holmberg has been promoted to High-A (Visalia).

Aww dang! I thought you meant Stadium Give Away promotions when I clicked on the thread. I was looking for an Ebby Calvin "Nuke" Laloosh Bobble Head or Fuzzy Dice made from Andrew McCutchen's Dreadlocks.

Wink

Make that three notable promotions.

Mariners' LHP James Paxton has been bumped two levels, from Low-A Clinton to Double-A Jackson.

If James Paxton continues his rapid development and Danny Hultzen moves quickly next year, the Mariners could have a serious rotation. They just need some offense to go with it.

Take a look here and see who the top 100 prospects in baseball are according to baseball america. Danny Hultzen was the #2 overall pick in this years draft and James Paxton was drafted in 2010. I'm pretty sure Odorizzi is on the top 100 list but I'm not sure about Holmberg.

Was Odorizzi picked by the Brewers? if so then I must have forgot about him. I new about Hultzen but not the others.

Odorizzi was originally drafted by the Brewers. He was sent to the Royals this winter in the Greinke deal.
