Default Capitals Thread
All the others teams have one, so I decided let's start a Caps one. Ovi and the rest of the team is absolutely on fire. Hopefully the Capitals will find themselves locked in at #3 shortly.

Almost a blown game last night. The Caps gave up in the 3rd still I'll take the 2 points.

Anyway their on fire right now hopefully they can keep this momentum in the playoffs.

It seems like just yesterday when Ovechkin had 6 Goals and was being labeled a HUGH disappointment for the Caps, now he sit's at the top of the Goals Scored catagory with 27, he has proven all his detractors wrong!! And I have picked up a few nice Ovie cards for cheap

Don't know about that Stanley Cup prediction though!

I'm doing it mainly for the playoffs and there's no place right now to discuss the hottest team in the NHL.

Also what do you guys think of Forsberg possibly playing tonight, I'm really anxious to see what the Caps gave up. However, I do think the Preds are rushing him in.

Caps are definitely the league's hottest team at the moment. Really wasn't impressed until they beat the Habs the other night. Not to take anything away from the team, but stomping SE teams isn't really anything to brag about, but they showed vs the Habs they're legit. Will be suprised if they don't make the second round.

Hopefully they can make a deep run this year. The last 6 games are a great test 2 against the Sens, one against the habs, Maple leafs, Jets, and B's

2nd in the Atlantic, Tied for 2nd in the Central, 2nd in the Northwest to answer your question yes. The Caps have done enough to be considered a playoff team.

Why? Caps are up 4 points w/ 5 games to go. They need to win 3 of 5 to clinch the SE (I think). Doesn't matter what WPG does. I highly doubt they'll have any problems doing that.
