Default Anyone buying Marvel 70th anniversary?

Anyone plan on buying the Rittenhouse Marvel set? There are a ton of artists - almost 100! Rittenhouse was set up at the Baltimore show a few weeks ago and he had scans of a lot of the artist sketches and it looks like there will be more good than bad. If the base cards are like the promo they were giving out it has a Heritage feel to it with a cardboard type back. There are only supposed to be 8,000 boxes made and the fact it is Marvel I hope it holds value a little better than the JLA stuff did.

I wonder with Rittenhouse why they don't have anything more than sketches in these sets. Not even autos in this one? What about memorabilia... It would be exciting to see a mainstream card maker give out complete memorabilia pieces (iCardz gives out full medals, uniform patches etc from WW2 for their America At War: Band of Brothers set....

They usually have one or two autographs as case toppers or in the binders they sell. In the Avengers set you could get a pencil sketch card autographed by Stan Lee. Memorabilia would be tough. Most of the Marvel movies have their own sets. How about cutting up old comics and having a card with a pane from a book on it? They destroy Jerseys and bats to make sports cards, why not valuable comics.

which is why i prefer you get a redemption for a full sketch of a page. But that's the problem as evidenced by cut signatures. The badly cut signature is worth much more on a trading card than the entire document the sig came from...

A big chunk of what's been listed is from just 1 seller who opened well over 500 boxes.

To bad, was at the very least hoping to get my case by the weekend. I've normally received my football cases on release day. I'm assuming, perhaps, that Rittenhouse is different (first case, other than football, that I have preordered)?

I'm really liking the sketch work in this set, I may try to pick up a box in Allentown in a few weeks.

I'm in for 2 boxes. I'll order them when I'll get my IRON MAN 2 case.

Just taking a guess but the real big guys would probably cost too much money to get. I wonder how much Stan Lee got paid to do his pencil sketches out of Avengers?

I just bought 2 boxes from Blowout. I hope to get some Katie Cook stuff or the punisher for my pc. I really like this product. From what I've seen, I'm impressed but yet again, IRON MAN 2 might have 2 sketches per box because there are only 4 auto signers in the series.
