Default Anyone buying the 2016 Star Wars High Tek 5x7 sets?

Just curious to see if anyone is considering buying any of the 2016 Star Wars High Tek 5x7 sets for sale online through Topps:

https://www.topps.com/shop-entertain...-high-tek.html

I know over-sized cards aren't as popular as regular-sized, but with this being Star Wars and low-numbered, I wondered if there was any interest.

They are numbered /49 and /10.

I've often wondered if there's an aftermarket for these.

I reckon if you split a set you could sell many of them to character collectors ... thing is you'd be left with a lot of unwanted / unloved cards afterwards. Just need to get your price point right.

I guess these are actually card cards, not acetate like the Tek cards?

I was wondering the same thing... if these really are 5x7 acetate then they might be the first 5x7 set I'd consider buying!

The vehicle subset has a nice white area at the bottom for possible autographs

And the checklist(s) aren't too bad.

I think I'm going to grab a set to see what they're like.

Looks like the base set /49 isn't selling all that well ... there's still 44 left.

Has anyone picked up any of these (whether the base sets or the vehicles / armor tek)?

I asked Topps via messenger and they said "clear". I'm guessing that means acetate.

I have purchased too many Topps website exclusives only to see a 40% off coupon a week later. I want a set, but I'll wait for the inevitable 40% off.

I'm sure there will be a President's Day sale coming.

Where do you find the coupons, when released?

Probably. And I hate feeling this way. I want nothing more than to want to buy it the day of release and never have regrets. On the positive, the TFA 3D set looks promising. I wish it was limited to 2,000 like they were in the past, but the signer list is solid for only 2,500 boxes being produced.

I wish Topps did what COMC does where you can zoom in on a card and flip it to see the back. That would be a helpful option.

The current sales rate suggests you're not alone on this one.

I got 3 of the 1/1 10"x14" ones. Just got them back from being framed. I think they look pretty good!

I agree on waiting for sales, but the best characters go at full price as soon as they go live.

Han Solo Gold 1/1:

Darth Vader Gold 1/1:

Rey on her Speeder Gold 1/1:
