Default The Force Awakens 3D Widevision

There's an article about this in the latest NSU, set to release on topps.com late this month (so soon, I guess). Another box set like the others. Here are some details:

No sketch cards or patches
2 autos per box. Confirmed: Ford, Driver, Ridley, Boyega, Hamill, Serkis, Fisher
Dual autographs
2500 sets
$99.99

This could be your best shot at a Ford auto!

I was hoping they would get sketches into this. Then it might have been worth it to buy a bunch to chase the big autos and recoup costs on the sketches. I'm not sure how big of a chance I will take on this beyond one set for my PC.

Oh snap! But with no sketches and 2,500 sets, I'll probably wait for a $25 price drop at least.

I guess worst case is 25 for a set then maybe , crossing fingers, may be 25-35 for both autos of really bad autos.

But still one of best odds overall for least a decent auto

I have never been big on the Widescreen releases and without sketches I am definitely not interested at $100/box.

I was kidding about my list above- I'm sure the good autos won't be 1/1's but you can be darn sure they'll be short printed.

Color me intrigued!
I would love for the big names to be on-card autos with all that extra space to work with, but sadly, we know that will not be the case. On a side note, I wonder how many Fisher stickers Topps has? With the long future ahead for Star Wars these are likely going to be rationed in very low numbers per release.

They NEED to get new signers for this set. There's tons more to choose from.

If they got Poe autos, these would help sell these out day one! He's the last big holdout.

No more accord, wood, rose and quinn garbage autos. On card would be huge too.

I hope we see a price drop here but I doubt we will. I bet this one sells out at msrp. Definitely not right away, but overtime for sure. I bet Topps stick to their price point on this one ..

Really? According to the confirmed short (but I'm sure it's incomplete) list that was quoted from NSU there are several "big" ones to chase. Which one are you talking about?

Disregard what Cardsharc said. He was referencing an intentionally incorrect "alternative fact" posted by Deeceman in this thread.

Agreed. If the signer list holds true, this will be a good seller.

I like the 3d sets but Topps' overseas shipping is pricey. Need to buy multiple sets to make it worthwhile ordering

Depends on how many go crazy breaking 12 sets at a time chasing the big names.

If those people can hold off a month or so, it'll benfit the majority with a sale or price drop.

However, with it dropping late Feb/sometime in March that means no obvious holiday sales. Next thing I could think of would be St. Pat's day or a tax day code.

Also, playing devil's advocate here, but they didn't say there weren't medallions haha just no patches.

I'm also very curious on how much it costs Topps to design the medallions, get a mold made, and then cast them all. I know they're likely all cheap metal and under $1/card, but getting castings and such aren't cheap. So maybe they can get 100+ sticker autos from the low tier signers for the price of the mold?

Or maybe it's the fact we've just had 3-5 sets with FA medallions/patches and they ran out of unique designs?

Could be a good one. I've always liked the 3D sets personally. I recall in the 90s the 3D widevision cards really stood out as something fun
