Need a little help figuring out what this is

I found this in a card lot at my local thrift store. I can't find anything about it or others like it. It's a clear card, looks like a template for Daniel McGrath's Bowman Chrome card, as it doesn't even have that his position is a pitcher it just says "position". Any help would be appreciated!

It does appear to be an early prototype, hopefully someone has a definitive answer.

Normally I'd think that but I don't think this is the case. The font of his name is different than the real card as well as it saying "position" instead of pitcher.

I emailed pics of it to Topps to see if they had any information on it, when they got back to me they stated "This is an interesting issue. There could be a number of explanations for this card and unfortunately a concrete explanation may not be obtainable. It very well may be a prototype or template but I wouldn't be able to verify that." Then told me to send it to Beckett to have them verify it. Not sure if it's worth it to pay to send it in and have them not have any infomation on it. My questions would be worth it? Are there people out there like me that would purchase it if sold it? Any thougts?

Don't most of these prototypes come with some sort of printing on the back explaining that it's a Proto type? Nonetheless it's pretty cool.

I wanted to see what a Chrome minus the paper back looked like so I skinned a 2014 Bowman Chrome Tyler Marlette and it is not the same as what the op has in his pictures. The back is mirrored and the card is not opaque, so that is not the case.

Did you read the comments above? It's a manipulated Chrome card.

It's not a manipulated card. McGrath only had autographed cards in 2014 Bowman, the picture is different, and the word "Position" instead of "Pitcher."

But a Photoshop pro, some acetate stock, and a good printer

I did soak it and got the glue and paper off, the back is mirrored. I held it that way so you can see the front and mirrored back and see that it is not opaque.
