Default Collecting shiny and nostalgic items- walking down memory lane

I've been trying to feel inspired to collect something in the past year and it really boiled down to FOMO and nostalgia. There was a good 10 year period from middle school to post-college where I barely collected anything so there were plenty of great products that I missed growing up that are now super duper FIRE HOT, aka Topps Chrome refractor rookies. Below are some of the ones I have picked up along with a few other items that I just thought were cool:

My favorite of the bunch. Not really a PSA guy but it was part of a combo deal that I was able to split with Mr Slamma himself:

The following two were submitted by me, and I am happy with both grades:

More rookie goodness:

A few vet pickups:

One prizm ref from the first year, that is pretty hard to find actually:

This guy I have learn to appreciate more in the twilight of his career:

And a pickup of Pistol Pete's protege:

I picked this up because it was part of the first RPA set I ever did, and I've always loved the design. If only he could stay healthy:

Last but not least, these were cards from my childhood that I had to have in gem mint form. The SE All Star was pulled from a box I bought about a month ago and I was able to get back gem mint. I ended up pulling two in the box and it was THE card that I wanted to get out of the box. The Skybox is simply just a beautiful design and relatively hard to find in gem condition:

Thanks for looking!

Hot damn.

That is a seriously epic mailday man.

The 05/06 Finest Kobe is very cool and is such an underrated release.

It's especially awesome to see TD get some love. But that Webber Die cut, pretty special.

Want to know my favorite of the bunch?

The Webbers. Those are his two nicest rookies. I remember going crazy trying to find those

Love those vince, dirk, pierce, TMAC Chromes. I too missed out on these years during a hiatus and am slowly trying to land a few.

Gorgeous cards man. Those rookie refractors are amazing.

Jut pulled a J-Will Topps Chrome last weekend out of a box. Might be my favorite card I've ever pulled

MANNNN there are a TON of nice cards in here. Topps Chrome is my all time favorite. I wish I would have pick up more while they were still making it.

Thanks for sharing!

People like us being through 90s are kind of spoiled because that's the golden age of BK card..Always love to have some eyes candy of 90s cool stuff. I don't think Panini era cards are that bad. Still some fun stuff to break but just not so many epic ones for us to talk about.

Thank you but these were accumulated over several months. If this were one mailday then the rest of my year would be barren lol.

lol same here. I am trying to find the Ultra All rookie team in PSA 10 and it's almost impossible. like trying to find all those Duke cards of yours.

It really was a golden era of collecting, and many of us totally missed it. That's probably why there has been such an uptick in price of these, as now we all have some extra income to go after these cards.

I think we just desire for Panini to be pushed by another competitor. They have a long leash to make whatever products they want, when we know Upper Deck and Topps can bring a lot more to the customers if they were around.

Awesome VC. Been trying to find a PSA 10 or BGS Gem Mint for awhile. Those TD Chromes are pretty sweet as well.

I may move some once I get all the ones I want. I can touch base with you if I decide to blow it up.
