wow, thanks for the heads up! Their autos were some of the only big names from that country set. The hobby boxes are already super cheap, I imagine the value would drop even more if this info became widespread.

Kind of begs the question- Why did no one notice this BEFORE they put them on the cards?
You would think if you had a page full of sticker autos and they ALL looked the EXACT same, you would question the authenticity of them first and not attach them to the cards if they were fraudulent (autopen).

I can sort of see, not really, if they were on card autos and you had to actually look at a few cards together to notice- but these are stickers on the same page.

Is it really that hard?

This falls directly on Panini. Zero excuse on a sheet of stickers. Honestly, not really acceptable with on-card either, but you can almost understand how those might slip through. Or not. Seriously, do these companies not even look at them?

They probably don't, at least on the production end. I read on another thread that Panini won't hire anybody for production work who collects cards, has any interest in cards, or knows somebody who's into cards. It's a theft-prevention measure.

It falls directly on the musicians that chose to not honor their contract. They are the ones that didn't care.

Oh, the artist is to blame for doing it. I agree. But the stickers making their way onto cards and into the product is all on Panini.

You'll never convince me that they couldn't see all of the stickers with exactly the same signature. Forget about production, how about some quality control? Who received the sheets back in the mail and was in charge of managing the project? As bad as it is on the artist, I still say the bulk of responsibility falls on panini. Especially when it's this blatant.

The bigger question is why these two clowns have an autopen in the first place? For Pete's sake they're Florida Georgia Line, a third-tier act in country music. While I would not condone it, I could almost see big stars like Kenny Chesney or Keith Urban using an autopen. But for the life of me I can't comprehend it with these guys.

If Panini doesn't want to police this then they could post scans of the sticker sheets -- certainly collectors would notice a problem very quickly.

I've worked for some cheap companies whose actions don't really indicate they care about their customers much. In my experience, quality control is considered a non-value add position in any company. Sure, they will say all the right things and many companies even have quality metrics. But they will understaff QC, hire poor fits, don't train them well (or at all) and often don't pay enough for people to actually care.

Maybe Panini is different, but I doubt it (especially based on the amount of issues they've had with fake autographs, non game-used jerseys, and the like). I personally believe that the quality control they have would be more focused on the cards themselves and autograph sticker placement more than the authenticity of the autographs. They are a sticker/card company primarily, not an autograph company. To me, that's a huge difference and why I wouldn't expect Panini to catch this.

I put more emphasis on how Panini chooses to respond to all this. They don't have a great track record in the past from what I've read.
