Default Should Chris Berman hang it up??

OK, my opinion is Boomer is way past his prime and he's holding back ESPNs football coverage... big time in PRIME TIME.

I'm so tired of hearing, "From!?"..... "NORTH CAROLINA" ..... those old old 1980 nicknames and watching him putt a darn golf ball.

Needless to say if I have to see him running off the field waving his finger, ala Joe, I think I'll see my pizza for the second time.

So what's this boards view point? Am I pulling the rug out from under a legendary sportscaster too soon or NOT

I personally like the Schwam. He has always been a favorite of mine. Granted him and Tom Jackson haven't come up with anything new in the past 10-15 years as far as content goes, but I think it works for them.

Side note, I wish that Dan and Keith were both still with ESPN. Those two were the best ESPN ever had.

he's awful, hasn't had a new bit in about 10 years and from what i've read nobody at ESPN likes him.

he needs to be put out to pasture, soon.

he's always been horrible. A walking catchphrase, there is nothing worse than him during the HR derbys though.

It could be worse, you could have Joe Morgan calling football games.
