Looking into getting a signed jersey framed, probably at michaels , any idea what it will cost? Ive seen a few coupons for 50% off a custom framing order at michaels , just want to see what it would cost? Any help is appreciated .

Just bare in mind that the 50% coupon takes the price down to "that's a lot" from "ridiculous". I priced out a signed door sized poster of the Boondock Saints earlier this year and ended going outside of the Michael's, AC Moore, etc. arena with a local framer.
While you are in Michael's though, you might want to check out the premade shadowbox jersey frames they have in the collectible frames section. Depending on what you need for your jersey, a 40% off coupon for one of those might save quite a bit. But I also understand the need to "do it right" when it comes to a nice piece for the PC. |

I think Papiis Did this not too long ago and if I remember right it cam out to about 22 bucks. I could be way off but I remember the thread about it and am about to do it myself with a Frank Thomas Card. Search for Papiis threads and you will find it or ask him and he will tell you. Hope this helps.

depends.. what type of wood (if you're going to use wood).. glass vs plastic... UV glass or normal glass... single/double/triple matting... of if you're considering any extra type of cuts into the matting..
$200-$300 easily which is why i haven't gotten any of my 3 jersey's framed...yet. lol |

Probably around 250. When I worked equipment for the football and basketball teams at Nevada, for Senior Night the bball team would get their jersey in a frame and I would take the unis to a place to get framed and it was about 250 per. The school paid for it of course, but from my experience that is what I have seen.

I suggest something like this. Its cool because theres room on the bottom so you can put other things in there. In mine I have bobble heads and cards to display.

I have a framer that does my jerseys for $225 and that wood with uv glass. It's rather pricey.

I know a bunch of people may frown on this option, but I frame my jerseys a little different. At Michael's, in the normal pre-packaged large frame section, there is one company that has 20/24 inch(I think) frames. The difference in these frames are that there is actually some depth in the frame that will allow you to put a jersey in flushly. If anybody wants to know anymore PM me and I'd be happy to explain further(and probably better

Be careful with those Michael's discounts. Read the fine print. Some that I've seen only cover the mounting and not necessarily the framing and extra stuff. Wait and get the 50% off the ENTIRE mounting and framing job.

It all depends what you are looking at doing. For instance, I had this frame done with plexiglass and its uv protected, had them triple mat with orange, white, and black suede and had them cut out 21 little boxes to accomodate the 21 cards I put in to represent the jersey #.
This frame costs me about 700 and it was done out here in Vegas...good luck! ![]() G |

There are lots of options out there other than Michaels I have dealt with Legends Framing before and they were great! They have a blog also talking about how much jersey framing costs.http://http://www.legendsframing.com...frame-a-jersey

I pay about $300 a piece on mine - but I go all out with everything - if I had more then 4 signed jerseys maybe I'd go cheaper - but for the ones I wanted on the wall they were around $300 each for all the bells and whistles.

We paid about $400 and customized ours.
Important things to know/remember. 1. Get UV protective plexiglass. Non-protective can enhance color/auto fading. 2. Use only acid-free matte. >95% of mattes are not acid-free and you have to ask for it specifically. It has a limited number of colors and size. If you don't use this type of matte the color and acid will bleed into that side of the jersey with time. We had Hobby Lobby do our matting on two gamers we did. 3. Frame Rabbet should be 0.75+ inches. Needs to fit plexiglass, matte, and backing. 4. Never sacrifice on quality. It can really hurt the jersey down the road. Here is what we used and links if you are interested in a particular piece. We found these sites to be the cheapest for the quality. - Acrylite UV filtering anti-glare plexiglass Product Offering - ACRYLITE® - Colors, patterns and functions - Mahogany/Cherry wood frame. Mahogany Picture Frames - Collection 5 | Custom Frame Solutions - Acid Free Matting from Hobby Lobby. We did an orange for OSU (shown below) and Silver Spurs version - Plywood backing. ![]() |

Tons of good advice already posted. Just, whatever you do, get it done right. If you're using coupons and trying to save, they're using poor quality products, etc. Get the acid free matte. Get the UV glass. I go to a family owned frame shop here and I've paid between $200 to $350, depending on what is being done. For the $350 frame, they floated an 8x10 frame inside with the jersey and also a pair of auto'd game used gloves. I had a much simpler one done for probably closer to $200, as well.
