Default 08 Ultimate Case (Scans added)

My lcs had a fresh case so I finally decided to try some. I bought and opened four packs and got a Chipper /10 on swatch auto, Kelly Johnson auto swatches, a Griffey Jr auto swatches, and a redemption Dice-K pants auto /10. I decided to buy the rest figuring there should still be the guaranteed stuff.

I'm off to open the other 11. I'll have a bunch of scans to put up later...I got some nice redemptions in today too.

Damn, opened three more...perhaps should've thought better. I did hit the dual auto...Kirk Gibson Joe Carter /15, still kind of a cool pair though.

If you pulled a Tino Martinez, I would be interested.

Scans will be up soon.

I did get a few nice cards but probably should've left the rest of the case in the store, lol.

Well, I guess it's cool that Jeter writes his full name, but what a mess!

I actually think that's a rather cool combo for a dual auto. I assume the Dice-K would likely be a one color piece.

Yeah, I only wish the signature was a bit bolder.

old guy + difficulty of writing on cloth with sharpie = lackluster auto

yes so far most of the on swatch autos do not look as good as being signed on the card. Some of the cloth autos are barely legible. Interesting to see if they continue doing swatch signings in the future and also curious to see what they look like in a couple years..

Still a bunch of great stuff for the PC

Yeah...I honestly have never been a big fan of on cloth autos...It probably started before Leaf Rookies and Stars last year...but it was the first time I've noticed it in mass quantity...and really haven't liked it since.
