Default Does Allen & Ginter Hold the Key to Stopping Patch/Jersey Fakers?

They essentially cover the entire card in plastic (on top) with a small opening just a little smaller than the jersey swatch itself.

Why not make all jersey cards with this "cover" so it would be borderline impossible to switch patches?

I would suggest covering the swatch up completely with the plastic "cover" but I'm guessing people like being able to feel the swatches?

What's the point in switching swatches?

Buying a cheap 1 color swatch card and then putting in a sick or "nasty" patch instead to make the value go up...there are a lot of scamers doing this

That plastic piece didn't stop this from being made:

If you look closely, you can still see the plastic is present. Notice the window?

Here's the back:

Do you think I could get it graded as "authentic altered"?

The only way to solve it 100% is to create a database that you can see what the card looked like off the press.

I don't think I could part with this rare, 15-piece, 1/1 memorabilia card from a licensed Topps product. However, if an offer seems to be more than fair, I would consider it.
