I don't have time to list them all, but this was certainly a highlight.

Nice hits! And those 2 were notorious for having secretarial signed autographs.

Man I wish I had the money for a master case like you! When you have time please list all your other autographs. Thanks.

thx for the input guys - i think the macarthur will do extremely well for me - may do an auction house for that one. will list heston on ebay tomorrow night.

here are scans of the "lesser" known ones. i will post and upload scans of the "better" ones tomorrow night or thursday night depending on my time.

(part one of two)

That George Marshall is a huge pull as well! Probably slightly behind MacArthur in value.

Edit: Marshall was the Chief of Staff of the Army during WWII. However, most younger folks will remember him being portrayed in Saving Private Ryan reading the letter from Lincoln and ordering the saving of Private Ryan.

The MacArthur is your master case hit. The Marshall, Heston would be 10 case hits, I think. Is there one other big one to account for the 4th case?

Heavy on the WW2 autos btw. I love it.

Wow - lol - I checked "George Marshal" on wikipedia and got nothing, and I now see that Famous Fabrics mispelled his name on the card itself since he signed it Marshall and you guys spelled it right! Now I see he is in the "better" category!

I was going to save my other big hit til tomorrow, but since you asked, it is coming next. I honestly think it's as good or better than the MacArthur, but I will let you experts tell me.

That was quite a rush opening that master case, let me tell you.

Awesome case Tim!

What did you Christy Mathewson sell for if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks Matt. The CM is still with the auction house - it doesn't end until late September.

That's why I didn't see it sell at the National. For some reason I thought it was going to be sold then. Thanks for the info.

Let us know what auction house, and if you decide to give them a chance on Ebay please post as I honestly will be bidding heavy on all the ones you pulled. Already have bought a few others

On a side note, I had hoped to score several, many, or all the base cards for reasonable prices but they have climbed and climbed from the first one listed on ebay for $9.99 (man that seems like ages ago). Since then, they have risen in average about $5 every few days. Just yesterday, a base card went for $153! $153 for a base card just about paid for that pack!

Still, I got "D-Day" which was my main goal since it goes with my America at War - Band of Brothers collection.

Tim, are you listing the base cards on feebay or are you keeping a master set?
