Default Adrian Peterson out with knee injury

Hit on the side of his knee and his knee gave in, season over, career might be next. Seems like torn ACL at the least.

Yeah, knee is gone. Probably multiple ligaments torn, very sad.

Vikings radio guy on Twitter was saying that if it's a torn ACL probably an 8 month recover putting him back late August. Not sure if that means 90% healthy by season opener, or just starting workouts again by then.

Looked very, very bad, Redskin players all showed class by patting him on the head and stuff. Cannot lose AP in this league, one of the best and consistent backs.

Hopefully it wasn't broken femur and torn ligaments, sure seems like he got hit right under the knee where he would break a bone.

I completely tore my acl in october playing football opted not to have surgery untill after the season which was a bad choice because i made a come back after 7 weeks and then tore my meniscus. Had surgery 3 weeks ago and im able to walk without crutches and ride a bike already. Hopefully its not a tear but if it is i defiantly can see AP back and running by july.My main concern for ap will be if hes going to be mentally ready to take a hit again.

Vikings may not be too bad off with Gerhart for a while, seems to be breaking a lot of tackles

Man that was nasty! This is what his 3rd Knee injury I fear that may be the end for AP. I wouldn't even wish that kind of injury on a huge rival. Hope it is not as bad as it looks.

Man AP and Ponder both out in a meaningless game, that is just brutal. I hope that injury looks worse then it really is for AP. If not, I wish him a speedy recovery that just looked ugly.

man I truly feel bad for AP. That looked really bad. I hope he can bounce back from this and continue his great career. I'm kinda surprised this doesn't happen every week.

Yeah it was bad, but it does not mean that his career is done...
