Default IP Address Tracing

Does anyone know how to trace an IP address from an email?

Well, if the e-mail is from an e-mail provider like Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc., the IP you find is going to do you no good. Even if it's from an ISP, you still might be screwed if they serve addresses via DHCP.

TL;DR don't waste your time.

Perhaps you don't want to 'trace' it but just see the IP info. In that case however you get your emails, you need to enable the 'full headers.'

Outlook 2010,
Click on the email itself to open it up
click on the Half-square Arrow Icon directly beside the word TAGS which is below the rubics cube looking icon labeled Categorize
