Default Nationals starters failing- Should Strasburg make a start in the postseason?

Seems like a great time to bring Strasburg back to save the Nationals.

Absolutely. If he had won game 1, they would have been up 2 games and it could have changed the entire complexion of the series.

Right and you can predict the lottery for tonight right. I know you said if, but come on really man. They were right in shutting him down.
And like someone else said. No he has been off way to long for him to be thrown out there........
Oh and for the record your right in saying that if they won game #1 they would have a lead of 2-1 instead of being down 2-1 now

I still don't think they should've shut him down to start, but at this point, the Nats would just look too dumb if they let him pitch unless it was the World Series IMO.

No, but seems like they'd have a bench player to pull from the roster.

I believe that the roster is set for the entire series so it is a moot point if Strasburg should start in this series.

I still think it was a horrific mistake for the Nationals to shut him completely down versus letting him skip a few starts. There is no guarantee they will ever see the Playoffs again.

I could be wrong but the rosters are set for the entire series. The only way Stras could pitch is if he were to replace an injured player.

No, the Nats need to learn a lesson about shutting down their best pitcher.

I hope they lose this series because of it.

Not after he hasn't thrown in a month.

Agreed. I am surprised with the 21 yes to 11 no. Should Strasburg start any games this playoffs? No, he hasn't pitched/thrown in a month, it would only have a greater risk for injury.

It was agent Boras that made Nats shut him down. Read the stories. He was going to have a lawsuit against the team if they kept pitching him after innings limit. Stras is also to blame, agent works for him. He didn't want to pitch anymore.

If true, that is sad. Modern baseball economics sucks.
