Default Sports Illustrated 100 All-Time Greatest Photos

Here's your link: 100 Greatest Sports Photos of All Time Presented By Canon - SI.com

Thoughts? 5 of the bottom 8 (Mays, Clark, Tyree, Phelps, Ali) could've been in the top 25 and I wouldn't have blinked twice. In fact, before I even clicked the link, the first picture that came to my mind was Ali/Liston.

I have no idea what that Ramirez shot is doing at #4. I guess there's no objective way to rank this kind of stuff...but it's a fun viewing.

Enjoy!

Here are the only two Jordans:

Number 81

Number 1

Wow... huh. The side angle of that top one, the 'free throw line dunk' is way more iconic than that angle, and the celebration jump? THAT'S what I think of when I think of MJ:

87 is my favorite. Not because of what's pictured, but because I remember that very moment quite vividly.

They messed up the boston pics, they put Manny's ass at 4 and Bobby Orr diving at 80

I was kind of hoping for 100 images, all of the swimsuit edition. I guess the 100 they showed were pretty good too.

I was thinking the same thing...the Orr "Flying Goal" should have been in the top 10!

Agreed 100% on the side angle assessment...although maybe it's a video still? Either way, that's the one I think of.

After I saw ali and liston near the bottom and Stovall/Suggs and a Rainbow Trout near the top I lost all respect for that ranking. Looks more like a random assortment rather than a ranking system.

My thoughts exactly, what the hell was that picture even doing on this list, let alone at the top of it?????

Pretty much. A lot of photos on there that are new that I really don't think qualify as memorable like many sports fans may think of memorable, like the photo from the greatest game ever played.

I'm a diehard Notre Dame fan, and even I don't remember that moment. It's a good photo, but I really don't think it belongs in the top 100 of all time

There are some great photos, but that list is quite disappointing.
