Default Manny Ramirez - Is There A Market At All?

I just picked up a binder full of Manny Ramirez 1990s inserts and what looks to be an autographed photo with COA though I don't know much about the company.

My question, does anybody still collect him? If he makes a comeback would interest return? Or did he just shoot himself in the head so to speak collectible-wise?

Market for him is terrible. He alienated almost all of his fan base. He is featured in so many insert sets too as his career peaked during the most insert-parallel heavy time in cards.

However, I like him and collect him, though not real actively. What inserts do you have?

I'm pretty certain that even the people who used to PC him don't even care for picking anything up of him

I PCd him way back in the day. Probably have about 150 base/parallels/inserts that I could never get rid of.

In an attempt to get fans in the seats, my beloved indians will bring back Manny and Thome to be mediocre in a shadow of near greatness 15 years past.

Actually, I wouldn't mind Thome again.

I sold a Manny Ramirez AUTO early last month to an ebayer who seemed to still be collecting all things Manny. I looked at his most recent feedback and noticed the Manny buying trend. I'll PM the persons eBay handle.

I'm still looking for a copy of both his 2008 Topps Updates and Highlights All Star jumbo patch and All Star jumbo patch autograph. Both are numbered to 6.

Thanks.

Dead and deader!!!

Steroids + being jerk + beating up a travel guy + quiting on your team + being an all around DP = No hobby love and no love from the HOF.

(within three years he will be broke and begging people to buy his autographs at 2nd rate shows)

Vlad Guerrero too--I just don't get it. The market for the guy flat out fell off a cliff this past year. You can grab Bowman's Best rookies for a few bucks on eBay. It's ridiculous.

(I'm now hording, ha)

His cards will probably never appreciate in value. But purely from a statistical standpoint, he's one of the greatest hitters ever, bar none. The stats don't lie.
