Yeah. Great start to this series. I preordered 2-4 based on the first issue. Can't wait to see what Hickman and Dragotta have in store with next few issues

5 Star review from Unleash the Fanboy

"East of West #1 is a brilliant release that start this series in the best way possible. From the illustrations to the written word this has got to be the most impressive launch I’ve reviewed for Unleash The Fanboy. Highly recommended."

My Review:
It Rocked!

outstanding 1st issue! I really liked the interpretation of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, especially the Cantina/Bar scene! Even with a high print run if the story continues to be this good we could see SAGA prices!

weird thing. my LCS, who has no Image except for Walking Dead, had a stack of East of West. I do like it, but was shocked to see the stack at my LCS. dont know what to make of it.

So, this is BY FAR, the best thing I've read all year in regards to #1 issues. Hell, I wish the trade paperback was already out lol.

Also, if you just read this digitally, you will be missing a LOT. I did both (read my floppy, and digitally) and the floppy stands out.

One last thing. My friend's shop had 40 copies destroyed by Diamond. So, who actually knows in regards to print numbers, etc etc.

This book really has everything going tho.... it's the type of comic I wish I had written, which is the best thing I could write about it!

I enjoyed it quite a bit, I especially liked the style of the art and coloring. I guess it's time to add another to my pull list.

Just finished it myself. Very cool. It will be interesting to see print run numbers. I picked up two copies today. I'm not much of a speculator, but I might grab a few more as I could see this taking off.

Hi (hope im not breaking any rules by posting here) as a newbie, but a preordered a couple of these over a month ago and I can't wait for the mail, hopefully today fingers crossed.
From all the good reviews I've seen I'm expecting a strong first issue, only disappointment is the cover art tbh, 2, 3 & 4 are all great looking covers, but #2 would have been perfectlly apt for the first issues cover imo, the same one advertised when it was first available to preorder.

To be fair the fp variant cover is right up my street, but I dont like fp. They never send anything bagged & boarded in the Uk ..got a bunch of five ghosts chucked in a poly bag back to back :/

This book was amazing. I might be new to this forum but I'm not new to comic and I can say this might be one of the best first issues I have read in the last few yrs.

Indy's Advice - DO NOT be giving your East of West #1's away. This book has HUGE potential. Let them sit in a box for 6 months to a year from now, I only see them going ^^^ big time if they keep up the series on par with the 1st stellar issue. They knocked it out of the park with #1.

I've been to about 4 shops over the last few days and seen about 50 copies total. I passed up on them but maybe I should go back.

+1. After reading it, I actually thought: wow the 50,000 copies printed won't matter, this is incredible. It's easily the best book since Saga 1. And now the reviews are in agreement.

Just stay out of my way when I try and get some RRP's next month.

I'm actually out of town in Seattle and I found the shops here. This is my last day but I'll see what I can do for you.

The bar scene might be one of my favorite scenes in a comic in a long time. I laughed so hard
