Default Just traded for a Box of Season One Walking Dead

Decisions.. Decisions.. I can't make up my mind to open it or not. I got about 250.00 in trade in it. If I open it. I will post results in the other forum.

That's what I was leaning towards. Even though there is temptation. But temptation can lead to regret.

And we all know regret can lead to hate, and hate leads to the dark side.

It's a big gamble by opening it. Yes, there are 5 badge redemptions still out there, but unless you pull a Reedus costume and auto, you would be better to take the $400+. A box sold for almost $600 a couple of weeks ago on eBay.

yeah, $400 is conservative. when the season resumes, they will be $500-$600.

you could sell the box and get three boxes of WDS2 if you are wanting to have fun and open. no way would i break that box.

sell it definitely. The only card you wouldn't be able to afford with the sales money is a redemption/some sketches.

$600?!?! Holy crap, why did I open all those $60-80 boxes lol... Why don't you just sell the box and buy all the singles you want or just wait for a redemption or sketch you want to show up and use it towards that? I'm just saying this because I have only opened loose boxes before and have pulled too many Glenn, Carl, and T-Dog autos to count.

I'd say sell it too. I wish I would have sold the box that I opened a couple of weeks ago. I didn't have much $$ in it, and the cards I pulled were all ones I already had and all sold at auction for under $100 total. BUT, I was tempted by the thought of a redemption, so I opened it...

If you open it there is always the sweet sketch card possibility also.

Of course those people are saying open it, because it's not their money! Even if you hit a sketch and Reedus auto, you wouldn't get $600. I know it's not 'all about the money' but for me the stakes would be too high.

If I had no interest in the product I'd agree however, if I really liked the product my thought process would be more along the lines of 'If they are $500, I might never get another box of these to open so, might as well enjoy it'

It is statistically improbable that 25% of the redemption cards would still be available with significantly less of the production run remaining unopened, meaning it is a safe bet that 20-30% of the production run is still sealed.

Product got hot pretty fast. Probably a good number of sealed cases stashed away slowly leaking to the market and selling at top dollar.

Five redemptions do remain. However, I would not open. I am still sitting on 16 boxes myself....lol....I wonder all the time if I have one in there. But, I will never know

Cost of sixteen boxes ~ $1,000

Current value of sixteen boxes ~ $9,000+?
