Default Another side job idea of mine...

.... just had another great side job idea come to me over this weekend...

i was asked to help my gf's cousin with her resume, and while editing her resume and pointing out how to make it better, i thought, hell.. why not just make resumes for people? i looked at some professional resume websites and these people are charging 100's LOL.

I was thinking of charging 50 at the most... includes an electronic copy, a few hard copies, shipped.

I would send someone a questionnaire and based off of those answers, make a resume.

I was actuallly going to take my gf's cousins resume, strip out all the personal information and do a "before" and "after" sample resume.

any thoughts? opinions? criticisms?

I know a lot of the time my typing on here doesn't make me look like a great word smith, but with what I do for a living, I have to be a good writer.

but again, this is just another one of my "side job ideas"... all opinions welcome

I think it's a good idea. I'd pay you if I ever needed a resume again. Good luck with the idea.

If you are good at making resumes -- then by all means, I would say go for it. There are a lot of people out there that need help with their resumes (but don't know it).

This is a great idea and you can put flyers up at local colleges and other oulets. The great thing is that the overhead cost will be minimal.
