Default I still hate Topps but .......................

Ok, anyone that knows me or cares to scan my post history knows that I am extremely critical of Topps. Essentially the entire way they run their business. Unfortunately, I love baseball cards and Topps is the only game in town so I'm stuck.

So, today is my anniversary and I thought I would reward my self for another year of survival (17) while at Walmart to pick out a card for the Mrs. I grabbed two blasters and three racks of 2013 BC. Why? No idea, I've been getting crushed this year both in hobby and retail and swore I was done but most of you know how that works. In any event I'll quit boring you that have followed along and move you to where the cheaters have already peeked.

Was hoping for a yellow refractor but managed something even better. Only my second orange I've ever pullled and I've busted quite a few cases of BC. Not a bad start to the day to be sure. I'll continue to be critical of Topps tomorrow but for today I'm giving them a pass.

Wow! Awesome hit from retail and it sounds overdue and much deserved! Congrats on your anniversary! 17 years is awesome man, any woman who will stay with a nerdy card collector is a gem and a keeper in my book. Pamper her good today

Enjoy the anniversary weekend!

Nice hit man! I need to go pick up some bowman chrome as well just for the hell of it. Maybe I'll get unlazy later today and do that :P.

Man, that is just the half of it. As bad and expensive as cards are my years of racing motorcycles were worse and after a few years off I just bought a new one. She was only mad for about an hour.

I've been seeing some really good breaks. I got a Leonard redemption auto and some non auto color as well. Maybe it is just front loaded but whatever, take advantage. It is way better than what TC did for me this year and that is including my hobby breaks.

Thank you all for the kind wishes and congrats. The day started off looking for a BC yellow refractor and I did far better than that. Had a good day and dinner with the Mrs and the night isn't over yet. Oh yeah, after sharing my big hit (shame on you guys, I know what you are thinking) she asked if there was anymore BC there where I bought from this morning. I told her there was five more blasters. She said I should have picked those up too.

So I did.

Damn fine day it has been and the best should be yet to come.
