Default Test Feedback

I will send a pm to sellers, winners, and bidders asking for feedback.

We do see a lot of things that we can improve... so we are on it. Still, we want your individual insight as well.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

So far so good. Pretty easy way to sell. Minus all the hassle of "feeBay"

I also like it and so far seems to have a lot of good qualities ,
my concerns are the same as others , but I am sure those bugs and issues that arise will be dealt with properly ,
I have a good felling that since members here police the site in order to protect themselves and all other good members ,that they may do same thing here , to alleviate the burden from the Mods ( only 2 ) and yourself Houdini
Ebay has set the standard with this type of venue ,so we have all the knowledge we need to make this successful for our trade site ( Blowout )

from here it will be up to the members here if this takes off

This may be a bit of a confusing response but here goes.

I like the format of having a subsection for each type of auction, however having to move the ended auctions seems a bit unnecessary. I believe that it would be much easier to simply close the threads and keep them under all the active auctions, even if they don't have a bid. I realize its the same as creating a sub forum for it but my reasoning is "why create a spot for closed auctions if no one is even going to look at them?"

Its a bit of a confusing statement, I have an idea or two I can give as well but that will have to wait. I have a class to attend at the moment

Many people will be referencing ended auctions - especially the buyer and seller.

I'm very interested to see it continue. See where it goes. My first auction went smoothly, but Hanes is a member I know and trust. Payment was quick.

My only concern is traffic, are people remembering to come and check out the auctions, but I love the idea and hope it creates a new method for those of us looking to move cards without constantly creating and bumping threads?

As I stated in the Q&A, it's not that I have buyer's remorse rather that I'm thankful someone posted. My point is rather simple, in the template, there is place for a description. By adding the details of the card, opposed to just the title, there is a clear understanding of what that card is. If the limit to a seller is a couple cards a week, why leave out details? Again, I just got back into the modern market after a few years out of it. The last I recall, you had a Base chrome, Refractor, X-Fractor,gold and orange refractors. Adding a simple fill in the blank description, like below, within the template makes everything completely transparent.

YEAR:
SET NAME:
TYPE: BASE/PARALLEL/INSERT
CARD#:
AUTOGRAPH:
SERIAL #:

I like it all so far. But as was mentioned it seemed like a couple of the items fell pretty far down the line without the ability to bump them up
In general I like the no bumping rule but I do think that the seller should be allowed 1 bump within say 1 or 2 hrs of closing

I also really like the banner that was displayed across the top of the BST section reminding people that items were closing. I think that was a good idea to keep people interested

Looking forward to listing something soon

I didn't think about that. My other idea would have been to not count a bid if it was placed at the exact moment the auction ended. To prevent sniping.

You do realize that by telling people they cannot bid at the last second for sniping, you merely change the snipes to the second to last second.

How about you just do that you need to go 5 minutes without a bid to close. So if you end it at 9:00 scheduled and get a bid at 8:59 it will go until 9:04, and if you get another bid at 9:03 it will go until 9:08.

That could lead to a lot of bickering which this site doesn't need.

The auctions in sub categories are a good idea and it keeps us from looking through auctions we have no interest in. The main problem I think will be the amount of traffic some of these auctions get, good for the buyer but can be bad for the seller. Maybe allowing a couple of bumps from the seller would alleviate this problem.

One other problem I see that has come up in some of the sell forums is dealing with minors, not a big issue but can turn into a problem.

Great job in adding the sub forum auctions and keeping them to one end date:special:

As long as we keep one auction end date I don't see the need for OP bumps

Overall I like the way this is moving and hope it will continue

Looks good so far. I agree with other's sentiment about minors.

My only critique would be that Other sports and Non sports should be two categories.

Wrestling has a huge following and so does Hockey.

Non sports has sketch, relics & auto collectors. Also historical items.

Looking forward to seeing this succeed.

As a seller, I enjoyed the experience. Only sold some low end cards but it was fun and no hassles thus far. Wondering if we might have an invoice template to send out to the buyers?

As for description, I know we are not all Beckett fans, but is it a solution to perhaps use the Beckett card description as the official description??

Once there are a few actual auctions to justify a subforum, they will get one.

This will grow slowly, but we cannot create subforums for everything if they are going to be empty.

Minors are not allowed to sell, but that is using the honor system.

You can put an age requirement in your auction though... we can add that option to the rules. Still, if they lie...

Well , I will bring up something that happened in my auction.

I had a bidder make a bid of $5 from the prior offer . this bidder was requesting me to ship out of country, when i clearly have only US .. The more i think about it the more it gets me steamed. Explanation : this is wrong , because i stated already in my rules - no . he bid up my auction intentionally , causing others to not even consider bidding due to price.. he in affect makes the prior bidder think he has not won .. he may have cost me a few dollars . i did not want to respond or bump my auction by posting . as this is against the rules..

One last thing.. i dont see anything in buyers rules - stating you will receive a negative i-trader if you do not pay .
