Default Latest Wrestling Card Pick-ups

I figured I would start a thread for my Wrestling card pick-ups. Since I collect all different eras of Wrestling.
I snagged a set of 1995 WWF Merlin recently and they look like someone got them new in 1995, put them in binder sleeves a didn't touch them again. Most of the cards are very sharp and very gradable.

Nice, I like Merlin WWf stuff.

I only own some of the 1991 Merlin cards. I know that year the cards are a little smaller than normal cards. Is 1995 cards the same size as 1991 ones.

I am pretty sure they are the same size, but they did run a little small compared to a normal card.

I also got a 1993 Merlin set from the same seller. I believe this is Yokozunas first appearance in a WWF card set. I don't believe he has any other cards prior to 1993 Merlin. The condition of this set is just as good as the 1995. Hopefully since these are smaller they will meet PSA's minimum size requirement.

I picked these up from Greece awhile ago. I don't really know too much about them.

The back of the cards form a picture puzzle (Hulk & Hercules, I think).

It seems appearent the wrestlers posed for the cards, and there are some odd pairings...

I think you are right. Looks like 1989 Survivor Series teams.

Cool. Looks like another 1989 Ultimate Warrior card then. Not as old as 1988, but I'll take it. Early Shawn Michaels card, too, on same card.

very nice, was it pack pulled? I pulled a Harley Race auto from the set not too long ago. Does the card have a scratch on it or is that the case?

Yeah, it was definitely pack pulled. I vaguely remember buying a sealed box at a garage sale when I was 10 or so lol...it has been a while since then. It was cool to pull out after so many years. Also, the scratch is only on the case.

There were a few different places I could have posted this and I don't mean to thread jack or anything I just got these today and was very pleased. I don't know if the seller is on here or not but if they are I wanted to say Thanks. I won an 8 card autographed lot and they threw in the Hitman autograph and also a few unsigned 1987 Circle K cards and a bunch of 1987 postcards of Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake. I knew I would be pleased with my purchase, but I didn't know how much.

This was a wonderful Christmas present with a bit of a backstory.

About three months back, I was on Ebay and came across this set. I hadn't heard much about it but the names in the set had me hooked on wanting to own it. Lou Thesz, Killer Kowalski, and especially Buddy Rogers are guys I have been watching lately on videos and DVDs. (Along with Gorgeous George)

Well after seeing it on Ebay I brought it up to my wife and I ended talking myself out of it as I just couldn't justify the price. Needless to say I still kept it on my watchlist. The next day my wife brought it up again and I told her that the auction had ended so no use bringing it up again. Although I really wanted it, not getting it wasn't that big of a deal to me. Hell, I am sure we all see thing we want and get over it when we lose the auction or it ends and move on.

Fast forward to Christmas day and I open a present and it's in a granola box. I open the box and I see some cards in toploaders along with a small black and blue box. I pull the toploaders out and was friggin amazed as I was looking at the 8 autos from the Imagine set. Turns out she was the one who had put up an offer in the set I had on my watchlist and ended up winning the auction. So cool of her and even better she kept it from me for over three months.

Just a wonderful little set and glad to have it in my collection.

I'm not sure. They don't say certified on them at all anywhere actually. I'll have to do some research.

Here is the sales sheet. I bought a few sets of these a couple of years ago from a guy who helped make them and he sent me this so I forwarded it on to Wrestlingtradgincards.com.

What a great Christmas present and awesome she kept it a surprise.

Here are 2 new ones to my collection. I picked them up in a wrestling auto lot.
Its getting tough to find the 05 heritage autos in anything higher than an 8.
