Default izybone's Recent Acquisitions...

That sounds so much more official than "Pick-Ups".

Anyways, I figured I'd make my own thread. Seems like that's what all the cool kids are doing.

Some of these "might" be for sale, but most likely they are not. This is a "show off" thread and obviously not a FS thread, but if you do have any questions or interest, just ask.

I went to the flea market last week with the wifie and son. There were some sections with books, but trying to look at comics with a 4-year-old is a very arduous task. I didn't get much browsing time. I could have spent at least 5-6 hours just box browsing, but alas my browsing time was restrained to about twenty minutes of "uninterrupted" time. Looked through about 5 longs, and didn't see anything worth mentioning. Decided it was time to go, but maybe I would take a peek at the DC longs. Go the the very first long and someone had left it middle browse about a third of the way into the box. Looking up at me is a Superman MOS 17. I immediately look behind it for 18 and 19, but they are both gone. After I got it home and looked it over, it's at least a 9.6 with a very good shot at hitting a 9.8. And btw, that price tag is correct. Got one book, and it's a winner. I feel kinda sorry for the poor sap that was browsing, turned to that, and just left. The Comic Gods were good to me that day. It's going to CGC.

My biggest non-lot comic purchase to date. My first Stan Lee auto as well. I'm keeping this thing forever.
Big thanks to fellow junkie kyleg40. Thanks for working with my timed payments. I really do appreciate it.

Purchased this one in a lot. It was just laying in the long, unboarded, but bagged. Had a slight spine roll and some waviness from being stored improperly since 1986. Sent it to Indy and he pressed a 9.8 out of it. I'd suggest Indy to everyone. He did a great job, had awesome communication, and his shipping is unmatched.
Thanks Indy.

Now I'm bummed. I demand a recount on the coin toss! Lol.
I've been making a run on that section of Daredevil, so you know I'm loving that. The hulk never learns his lesson, he can't beat Spidey. Great pickups.

I'm teaching you all kinds of stuff Tex.
Class is on.

When you go to advanced post, there is an attachment option with all the others. Manage attachment, upload it from your hard drive and attach. It's a beautiful thing.

Been a while since I've shown anything. Haven't really been picking up too much. Just here and there.
I was cleaning up my chaos room (my office), and decided to go through a couple long boxes. I used to buy collections and not even go though them, and buy more, and so on and so on. So I honestly don't know what's in half of my boxes. My wife wants to kill me. I also moved in 2011, which made everything ten times worse. My organizational skills are terrible, and the move didn't help at all. So I opened up a couple of these random long boxes...

Pretty sure the rest of the civil war's are here somewhere. Good time to find them. Love that Cap cover!

Some winter soldier love.
And don't ask me about Cherry, but apparently she is desirable.

A very nice run of Sandman, and Hellblazer.
A nice run of Swamp Thing, including these beauties.

Look at what else I happened upon...

3rd print, but still.

Most need a good press. Everything was stored incorrectly. I absolutely HATE bagging and boarding entire long boxes, but oh well.

Also found a run of Batman and Spider-man.

This book is a beauty. A couple of very minor issues. She has a very good shot, after being pressed, at a 9.8.

1.8
This ones in bad shape. Origin of Robin.

2.0
A little Sub-Mariner and Hulk action.

2.0
I love this cover. Gotta love D.C. fighting.

3.5
This one has a lot of character. Origin and first appearance of Captain Marvel of The Kree.

PC4L = Personal Collection For Life!!!

Only way I'm getting rid of that is if I upgrade, and I don't see that happening within the next decade.

Thanks!

She has a great home.

What was yours?

I'm thinking mine should be 8.0 at least, post press.

It was just laying in a long box. Not bagged, nor boarded.

Thanks!

And if you see something, you could always make an offer on it. Everything is always for sale. For the right price anyway.

Minus my ASM 50, of course.

Totally missed this. Thank you sir.

I did read it, and enjoyed it.

Just got done reading Plunder #1. At first I didn't think I'd like this type of book, but gave it a shot, and I liked it. I'll definitely be picking up the next. You should check it out. Not your cup of tea I know, but it's got me wanting more.

This week's acqs....

For the boy. I'm really digging that Lil' Gotham cover.

Thanos, Medusa, Aaron, and some Chromium love.

Some random newness.
